This trip was an amazing once in a lifetime experience. It is definitely for nature lovers who want to immerse themselves into the natural environment and habitat of the wildlife. Whilst we were hoping to see Elephants and despite plenty of fresh sign we were unlucky to not see them, but it was a fantastic experience of the jungle and it's inhabitants. Our guide Roman was knowledgable, passionate and willing to share. Our three boatcrew were knowledgable and very gracious, a special thanks to them. Also to the organisation team who were able to make this happen for us with our tight timeframe. Definitely a trip for those that love experiencing nature in it's natural environment.

Hi Raewyn Thank you so much for sharing such a thoughtful review. We’re thrilled to hear that the experience felt truly immersive and that Roman and the boat crew helped make your time in the jungle so memorable. They’ll be delighted to hear your kind words. And yes… the elephants. We always do our best to introduce guests to the wildlife, but those wild elephants seem determined to run their own schedule — and they’re notoriously bad at replying to our invitations. Even so, we’re glad the atmosphere of the jungle still made the experience special. Thank you again for choosing this adventure. It’s wonderful to hear that the magic of the rainforest still shone through, and we’d love to welcome you back anytime — who knows, maybe the elephants will decide to pencil you in next time. Cheers, Michelle

Well organised trip! A wonderful experience in both Sepilok and Kinabatagan - our guide took good care of us and was able to share a lot of wildlife and conservation information with us. The local guides and spotters were also very sharp in identifying the wildlife! Accommodation was good and itinery was comfortably scheduled.

Hi Yun Lin, What wonderful feedback! We're thrilled to hear you and your sister had such a fantastic experience in Sepilok and Kinabatangan. I knew you would! Thanks for the feedback on our guides. We might be a bit biased, but we think they are some of the best! It's great knowing they made the trip memorable with their knowledge. We hope to welcome you back for another adventure soon!

This was a trip of a lifetime! We had no idea what to expect but yet this trip exceeded any ideas we might have had. The private guide, Barry was so knowledgeable and met all our needs. He made sure we had everything and that we knew where to be and when. Other people at the lodge were in huge groups on buses, yet we had a private guide that was just for us. The animals we saw were orangutan, sun bear, over 30 pygmy elephants, 3 different types of hornbills including the rhinoceros hornbill, crocodiles, flying foxes, flying squirrels, so many proboscis monkeys, plus long and pig tailed macaques, other birds (hawks, eagles, kingfishers) and even a tarsier on one of the night hikes. Being able to see so many animals from the edge of the river in a boat was very nice as was visiting the two rehabilitation centers. If you are wanting to see wildlife and help out wildlife through an amazing organization, Malaysian Wildlife is a great choice!

My daughter and I spent 7 fabulous, peaceful days arranged by Malaysia Wildlife staying at Batu Katak in the sumatran rainforest. The lodge accommodation was comfortable and the setting spectacular.Everyone was super friendly and helpful especially the forest guides who looked after us really well. The highlight of our stay was seeing a family of wild orangutans during one of our forest treks, definitely worth the heat, humidity and the effort! We can't recommend the experience highly enough, truly unforgettable .
