About this trip

Few places on the globe evoke the mystery and awe that Patagonia provides for the intrepid traveler. The rugged crags and spires of mighty Torres del Paines and Los Glacieres National Parks constitute perhaps the most impressive mountain vistas on earth. Iguazu is arguably the world’s most impressive waterfall. The wild isolated inlets, fjords, and islands of Tiera del Fuego, alpine lakes, penguin and seal colonies, and massive glaciers round out the natural experience. Combine these with the cultural gems and Tango culture of Buenos Aires and one has a recipe for a memorable travel experience.

We at Imprint Tours believe travel broadens horizons, introduces new ways to see the world, equips us with a new frame of reference for evaluating our own society, breaks down prejudice, and promotes global understanding. Therefore, we endeavor to “Travel with Intent”: an intention to take a reflective, introspective approach; connect with the cultures we visit; and balance the enjoyment of discovery with responsible travel. We want our “imprint” on the planet to be light and our “imprint” on the local culture to be positive.

A well organized, well paced, taste of India. Highlights were spending Holi with Cheetan's family and neighbors, the intricate architecture, exposure to many different religions, tasting sometimes too spicy food, traveling by plane, train, boat and bus., the lavish hotels after a mad day of tuktuk rides, supporting female electric tuktuk drivers, and seeing the perfection of the Taj Mahl and meeting fellow travelers to share the wonders, smells, chaos, and humanity of India.

Imprint Tour’s India tour not only met but far exceeded every expectation I had. This was my first trip with Imprint and my first time to India, a country so rich that it defies a single description. India is a living tapestry of sights, sounds, smells, and experiences. From the hectic, dusty streets of Delhi to the awe-inspiring grandeur of the Taj Mahal, and the spiritual intensity of Varanasi – Imprint Tours allows you to truly immerse yourself in the soul of India. There was an array of experiences: wild Tuk-tuk rides (three-wheeled motorized rickshaws) dodging through narrow alleyways and packed markets; dinners at authentic Indian restaurants; tours through ancient tombs and palaces; and countless interactions with the Indian people that felt personal and genuine. Our local guide, Chetan is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about India. His deep understanding of India’s diverse history, its many religious practices, and its complex cultural traditions provided me with a deeper understanding of India. A particularly unforgettable experience was celebrating Holi (a vibrant festival of color) with Chetan’s family and neighbors. In addition, his sense of humor and approachability was a real bonus. (If you ever get the chance, ask him to show off his Michael Jackson dance moves.) Imprint Tours attracts independent, adventure-ready travelers, and I was lucky to share this journey with some amazing people. Fellow travelers, including Reid and his niece, Sarah, brought an extra layer of depth to the experience, each person embracing the adventure as much as I was. The hotels were comfortable and well-located, rated five stars in India (though, as a note of caution, five stars here don’t quite match the same level of luxury as in the US or Europe). This journey requires a certain level of physical stamina – climbing steep, uneven steps, carrying your suitcase up narrow, winding staircases, maneuvering through dense crowds, and dodging the incessant flow of mopeds and Tuk-tuks as you navigate the city streets. Somehow Chetan, with an almost superhero skill, managed to guide us safely through the chaotic traffic. The constant swirl of motorcycles, mopeds, Tuk-tuks, bicycles, and cars, all zipping in every direction with little regard for traffic rules, was intense– and the constant honking only added to the experience. If you’re ready to be challenged, inspired and create memories to last a lifetime – I highly recommend this trip with Imprint Tours.

India was very colorful and exciting. Lots of fun chaos with traffic, horn honking, cows in the road, and the occasional elephant or camel. Tuk tuks filled the streets and thrilled us each time we used them for transportation. Wonderful spices made for a culinary experience not soon to be forgotten whether dining in a restaurant or from a shop on the street. The forts, the temples, the religious diversity, and genuine generosity of the Indian people all added to an unforgettable experience. Our guide, Chetan, was a wonderful human being that brought to life the history and culture of his native land. We were fortunate enough to visit during Holi and Chetan’s family graciously hosted 20+ strangers in their home for dinner and the special Holi celebration. India is a fabulous country to visit and I highly recommend it as a place to adventure.

Northern India was quite the adventure. We experienced nice people, fascinating historical sites, and learned a lot about culture and every day life. Accommodations often exceeded expectations. Reed, Sarah, and most definitely Chetan, provided great care and ensured we had numerous opportunities for creating lasting memories.

This trip completed a 15-year bucket list travel dream. We were thrilled to find that Imprint tours would again be offering this combination trip. We were exceptionally pleased with the wide variety of sites and experiences included, which provided a well-rounded experience. We felt safe at all times. The experience of other cultures can be uncomfortable at times, but in our minds, this is what makes a travel experience authentic. Imprint tours provided an organized, detailed, engaging tour. But the true talent of Imprint is the ability and willingness to pivot when plans do not go as expected. In travel that happens, and it is the true professional who cares about their participants who can quickly swivel and provide an equal or better experience. This is where Imprint shines. This small travel company deserves 5 stars for caring for clients.
