This tour is one of our best-sellers, a true companion to our Holy Land Pilgrimage. The tragic history of the land and sad events of the past hundred years lead to very dismissive attitude toward Turkey as a pilgrim and cultural destinations. But we see that as a great injustice. That land is mightily important in the history of the Church, not only to the Orthodox, but to the Christian identify at large, not to mention that it is soaked with the blood of our martyrs. Avoiding it under political pretext would be doing disservice to our past. And the our past there remains in very visible forms everywhere. We will begin our pilgrimage in the great city of Constantinople, will follow along the shores of the Aegean and Mediterranean seas, retracing the footsteps of the Apostles and the Byzantine Saints, and will end our journey in Cappadocia, with her fantastic landscapes, and one of the birthplaces of Christian monasticism.
