The trip begins with included group transfers from Lisbon airport into Alentejo. Our PRIVATE GROUP STAY for the next four nights will be at a beautiful + sustainable rustic modern boutique hotel located in a protected area of Costa Vicentina in Southwest Portugal. This hotel is ideally situated among the countryside and the beach. Surrounded by nature, rolling pastoral hills with stretches of citrus, cork oak, and pine trees, it is a short 15minute drive to countless beautiful beaches. This 13 room, boutique hotel, will be exclusive to our guests for the duration of the stay.
The overwhelming nature that surrounds this place surprises you with its beauty, its smells, and sounds. Guests will have the option to wake up each morning and enjoy a yoga class by Sybil and Kim in a private wooded yoga shala, or stay in bed, swing in a hammock, or enjoy a cup of coffee. You can venture on a morning hike, or workout in your own way, surrounded by nature In its truest form. The morning will be followed by a home-style brunch with local bread, eggs, produce and fruit juice straight from the trees that surround you. As the day continues, guests will have the option to join on included excursions or to stay and chill at one of the outdoor lounge areas or soak in the sun by the pool enveloped by the tranquility of the forest. Hear the songs of birds and bells of sheep in the distance.
One of the most amazing things about this boutique hotel is that the local village and beautiful town of Cercal is a short ten minute walk and will make you feel as though you went back in time, giving you a true sense of the Alentejo way of life. Guests will have the option to explore Cercal throughout the stay at their leisure, observing artisans and the local way of living, as well as enjoying two included group dinners at local restaurants in the picturesque village of Cercal.
Guest can expect multiple yoga styles and offerings throughout the four night stay in Alentejo. Classes will be held among nature, in the woods, in a private yoga shala with sliding glass doors and offering all of the necessary mats, blocks, and blankets for the variety of styles that guests will be able to enjoy throughout the stay. After class, enjoy some moments in a forest sauna, or a dip in the pool.
While the option will be there for guests to remain at this location for the duration of the stay, guests will also be treated to included excursions including a guided coastal hike and beach day - the chance to appreciate one of Condé Nast’s favorite hikes, with time following to relax on the beach or rent kayaks or SUP boards. We will also travel to a visit with a local farmer who will walk us through his operations, his vineyard, and have the ability to taste some of his own wines and tapas - all produced from the grounds where we tour.
On Thursday morning, the group will once again share an included transfer back to Lisbon for a taste of Portugal city living. Guests will be staying in a 5 star hotel located in the heart of the historic district of Cais de Sodré, a prime area of the city, full of history, culture + life.
We will drop bags at the hotel as we await for our beautiful rooms to be available, and enjoy a private group food + walking tour where we will all have the opportunity to sample some of Lisbon’s most delicious delicacies and also have gained a deeper knowledge of the culture and history. Our time together will conclude with a final group dinner and Fado presentation at a local restaurant.
This retreat intentionally ends in Lisbon following an included breakfast at the hotel on Friday morning, giving guests the option to fly back to their homes, or extend their stay and explore on their own. There is so much to see!

- Private Group Transfers to/from Lisbon: Sunday Transfers will leave from Lisbon Airport and transport guests to Alentejo (will need to be coordinated - information to be shared post booking) - Return transfers to Lisbon will leave from Alentejo and will drop the group at the the Lisbon City Center hotel for Thursday night’s stay
- NEW TO THIS RETREAT: Emma Plowman/Photos by the Sun will be joining this retreat to document the experience for all individuals! Guests can spend more time appreciating Portugal and less time worrying about grabbing that perfect shot.

The Fine Print
An initial deposit by persons booking reserves a room and acts as a signature on a legal binding document authorizing agreement and understanding for all of the below information:
BOOKING + CANCELLATION:
In order to reserve a room, a booking deposit of $950 per person will be required through this website. This trip is non-refundable and non-transferable to another Kim Culley + Sybil Meyer retreat. Kim + Sybil will not honor credit towards another retreat in the case of cancellation.
If a guest is unable to attend for any unforeseen reason, guest will assume FULL COST of trip. This booking serves as a legal agreement of these charges that will be absorbed by guest(s).
Kim/Sybil WILL entertain a transferable booking to another individual on a case-by-case basis. A new $950 per-person deposit will be required from the new guest(s)if a transferred booking is approved. The initial $950 deposit will NOT be refunded to original guest, IF a registration is transferred to another guest with Kim/Sybil’s approval.
Please note which room you are booking at the time of reservation and read descriptions thoroughly. Refunds will not be given due to a misunderstanding of the type/style/bathroom/wifi offerings in each room. Descriptions have been intentionally transparent for all guests’ booking knowledge of information.
The remaining payments after deposit will be made according to a preset schedule with reminders sent to all guests by WeTravel on 1/21/25 and 5/21/25. Please be aware that WeTravel will add credit card processing fees to all payments.

If any unusual circumstances present and Kim/Sybil need to cancel the retreat for any reason, refunds WILL be given - less the processing fees. Please note that processing fees will NOT be refunded in the case of cancellation.

All guests will be required to sign hard copy liability waivers upon arrival to Portugal at the beginning of the retreat and the booking of this trip confirms compliance to sign the waiver.

This room is a PER PERSON COST booking for TWO individuals - bed configuration can be two twins OR one shared bed.
FOR STAY IN ALENTEJO AT THE BOUTIQUE HOTEL:
This room is one of 4 rooms that will all be within the Vila do Laranjal. Each room will have it’s own private and fully enclosed bath, each with a hairdryer and local, artisanal soaps made with organic ingredients.
The room has been curated with many handmade pieces and local art crafts following sustainable principles. The beds have top-quality linens made in Portugal.
These rooms do NOT have air conditioning. Each room will have a ceiling fan and windows to open for evening breezes.
Each of these four rooms will give access to a shared kitchen, living room, and outdoor patio.
Wi-Fi in room. Room location is central to property, pool, and gathering spaces. For this stay, the principles at the boutique hotel is all about sustainability - therefore, they ask that guests utilize same towels throughout stay - new towels available upon request. Rooms and beds will not receive changes of linens during 4 night stay
FOR STAY IN LISBON AT THE CITY CENTER HOTEL:
This shared room can also be configured into two twins or one shared bed (preference will remain the same for both stays). The rooms include decor that reflects Lisbon’s well-being, serenity, and peace through shades of brown and beige - a clear luminosity and traditional touch with the unavoidable LIsbon tiles.
Each room will have an en-suite bath with chromotherapy, a treatment that, through alternating colors, establishes the balance and harmony between the body, mind, and emotions. Red stimulates, blue softens, yellow brings joy, and green is relaxing. Each can choose their mood.
Included in your stay we’ve arranged for each guest the following:

FOR STAY IN ALENTEJO AT THE BOUTIQUE HOTEL:
This room is one of the newer rooms at the property, secluded in the private forest and further away from the pool and common space. (Note: there is an approximate 4 minute hike to these rooms, but the payoff with the view is spectacular)
This is a multilevel room - guests will enter at the main level into the private, but OPEN bath, with the lower level including a bed configuration of two twins or a shared bed, and sliding glass doors that open to a private terrace with a hammock and a view of the Alentejo sunset.
Please note:
- These rooms have Air Conditioning + WiFi
- These rooms contain an open concept bathroom: the upper level bath has an open shower with the ability for guests to see through the sliding doors, over a loft half wall while showering. The top 1/2 of an individual will be visible if the other guest were standing on the private terrace and looking back towards the room. Alternatively, if the non-showering guest is on the lower level in the bed space, they will not be able to see above. The toilet is in a separate and enclosed space. For guests looking to share this room, they should be prepared with the open sharing shower space and/or coordinate showers.
