About this trip

PRIVATE ARCHAEOLOGICAL & NATURAL HISTORY TOUR OF PALENQUE

Discover Palenque, an Ancient Maya City

Palenque is one of the most important Maya Classic sites, strategically located at the foot of the Sierra Madre Mountains, an outpost to the Gulf of Mexico and a powerful commercial center during the Maya Civilization’s period of splendor. It boasts magnificent architecture of the Maya Palencano style and is considered to be an open-air architectural museum. There is a wonderful modern-day site museum that houses most of the domestic and artistic objects found at the site in the course of its excavation (for the time being it is still closed, since the pandemic). Our tour of Palenque includes round-trip private ground transportation to Palenque Park from your hotel, a private guided tour of Palenque with a professional guide and lunch (without beverages). Park entrance fees to the natural reserve and the archaeological site are not included (but may be added to our price upon request, if you prefer).

The following services are included in our Private Archaeological and Natural History One Day Tour of Palenque:

- Roundtrip private ground transportation from your hotel in Palenque.

- Guided archaeological tour of Palenque National Park, with a specialized guide trained in
