You will be picked up early from your hotel in the Hurghada area by our driver, who will be waiting at the reception with a sign of your name in his hand. You will have a beautiful 280 km drive in a private vehicle to Luxor through the desert and along the Nile and past various Upper Egyptian villages (without a convoy). After arriving in Luxor, you will first visit the Karnak Temple , the most extraordinary sacred monument in the world with the fascinating obelisks, columns and courtyards. After Karnak, fortify yourself with a delicious lunch at a local restaurant.
Afterwards, cross the Nile by motorboat to discover the archaeological treasures of the Pharaonic Necropolis. There you will visit the Valley of the Kings , where the kings of Egypt were buried more than 3000 years ago. In their rock-cut tombs, you can explore the well-preserved colorful paintings and hieroglyphic stories on the walls. Next, admire the stunning Hatshepsut Temple . Hatshepsut was the only pharaoh who proved to be a successful ruler of the empire and created an architecturally exceptional terrace-like mortuary temple for herself. You will then make a brief stop along the way to take a look at the gigantic Colossi of Memnon from the 14th century BC. which are considered to be among the largest and most important statues of ancient Egypt.
