About this trip

“It is not the strongest of species that survive... But the one most responsive to change.” - Charles Darwin. The mere mention of the Galapagos Islands conjures dreams of adventure, intrigue, and excitement. It’s a place of mystery that millions know about, but only a handful have explored. This trip also includes time in the colonial city of Quito and the magical Cloud Forest in mainland Ecuador.

Walk in the clouds: Spend 2 nights in the ethereal Cloud Forest where colorful birds sing their songs and fluffy clouds float around you.

Get a good night’s rest: Stay on land and explore the Galapagos Islands on day trips for a more comfortable night's sleep. This also allows you to explore the culture and interact with the locals in your free time.

Reviews

This was my first adventure with Globe Drifters and I am extremely pleased with everything, from the original booking all the way thru to the end of the trip. Our tour guide, Nok was amazing and went above and beyond to make sure we were always informed and taken care of. She even helped plan some of the free time excursions. I cannot say enough great things about her. I loved all of the locations and they each added a different element to the trip, however, Chiang Mai was my nirvana and left me in awe. That was the most memorable experience I’ve had out of any vacation and I’m so thankful to have been a part of it. The entire trip was curated very well and gave me time to explore and take in each location. The hotels and locations we stayed in were above my expectations. This was my first major solo trip and I felt extremely comfortable with the other travelers and being a part of a wonderful group I can call family. I can’t wait for my next Globe Drifters adventure. If it is anything like what I experienced in Thailand, I already know that I am going to have an amazing time.

We travel is terrible. The pre pick up was not matched to my flight they showed up 23 hours early and then charged me for no show. Please provide a refund. You changed my driver twice and left me to figure how to communicate to an independent contractor in a second language.

This was my first trip with Globe Trotters. I will definitely be going on another. The accomdations were good and the food was great. I really enjoyed the trip leader Nok. She worked very hard to accomodate everyone.

We had a lovely time. Everyone was so nice and so friendly and kind. Sandy went out of her way to help us with all the extra things we wanted to do. I think the guides work very hard to make sure everyone is taken care of and have plenty of choices. I know we signed up for a "slow-cation" but we are a GO cation person/couple so in the future we would book a more physically active trip. With that said we had a blast and have no complaints. Hotel Jardim was modest but clean and lovely. The staff worked very hard to make it a home away from home. Thank you to everyone!

Portugal is great. I loved this trip. The sites were amazing as was the group! Weather perfect as well. The hotel was also great-staff amazing. The only miss was the lack of being able to cook a few meals together. However, many restaurants within walking distance. In the past I’ve enjoyed cooking with new friends.
