Join us for seven nights and six full days as we explore the dichotomy of Surrealism & Colonialism in the Mexican towns of Querétaro, Tequisquiapan, Bernal, & Xilitla.
All of our tours offer a wide variety of unique experiences while also providing chances for guests to adjust the plans to match their desired speed and intensity.
Read the tour Itinerary summary below for more details.
Throughout the trip we will have the opportunity to dine at a wide variety of extraordinary restaurants (from casual street food to fine dining). While the tour offers many unique scheduled experiences, its casual structure also provides daily opportunities for guests to adjust the plans to match their interests and desired speed and intensity.
IDENTIFICATION ~ A valid passport is required.
ALTITUDE ~ Querétaro: 5,971 ft ~ Tequisquiapan: 6,168 ft ~ Xilitla: 2,218 ft
WEATHER ~ Querétaro & Tequisquiapan typical daytime temperatures are in the upper 70s and nighttime temperatures around 50f. October is traditionally very dry. Xilitla is at a lower altitude and closer to the coast, so it is more humid and warmer with temperatures ranging from mid 80s to low 60s.
TRANSPORTATION ~ The itinerary includes overnight stays in four different cities. We will travel between them in a Sprinter-style private van.
PHYSICAL EXERTION ~ Moderate Exertion (3 of 5) – This tour consists of mostly in-town, moderately paced walking on hilly cobblestone streets. There are opportunities for more vigorous hiking and climbing for those who are interested.
MEDICAL FACILITIES ~ Querétaro is a major city with modern medical services available. However, while traveling in the towns in the surrounding region, we will at times be several hours away from medical services.
The departure day of the Queretaro tour adjoins the arrival day of the San Miguel de Allende tour (25-10-28-MX-SMA), making it easy to do them together and receive an extra night of accommodations at no additional cost. Simply book both tours and we'll take care of combining the packages and reserving your extra night at the hotel.
The tour must “make” with a minimum of 6 people by June 20, 2025.
