About this trip
Rails Camp is an annual summer gathering for the software community to meet and learn from each other while getting out of the city to unplug around a campfire.
This year we'll be heading to Camp K on Kenai Lake, just outside of Cooper Landing, Alaska.
What’s included
- LodgingMajority of lodging is shared, 12 bunks per cabin. You can choose to be in a room with 2, 4, or 8 people. There are also camping spots and a couple private cabins available.
- All MealsMeals are served buffet-style and feature locally-grown food whenever possible. Dietary restrictions will be accommodated.
- ActivitiesSwimming (cold), kayak/canoe, hiking and trail running, arts, outdoor survival classes, fishing, more to come!
- DIY unconferenceCasual talks throughout the day, 100% community organized.
What’s not included
- FlightsTo/from Anchorage, Alaska
- SnacksWe will have some sponsored snacks and fruit, but bring your own snacks for in between provided meals.
- Beverages beyond waterWe will have the bus stop on the way to camp to pick up any drinks needed.

Important: 2-person room tickets are designed for guests attending the retreat together. To purchase this ticket option, you will need to bring someone you know as your roommate.
If you don’t already have someone to attend with, we encourage you to consider our single-room options (request via email) or connect with others on the rails camp slack community.
