Helpful Information:

You will fly into San Jose International Airport, and we will meet you at the Barcelo hotel on the evening of January 20th.   But don't worry, we will communicate often prior to then.   The seed has been planted and your adventure on so many levels awaits :-) If you need to arrive a day later or leave a day earlier, we can accomodate a price adjustment if notified before thirty days of departure.

A note about flights:  Most discounted airlines don't publish their flights to Costa Rica more than six months in advance, so don't get discouraged if you don't find the right flight.  You can expect to spend about $600-800 for a flight.    Many of our attendees leave out of Chicago or the midwest, but also throughout the US.   Main carriers include: United, American, Southwest, Frontier, Spirit, Copa, Jet Blue and Delta Airlines.

Our yoga classes offer more diversity and attention, giving people of all levels, ages, and stages of life the opportunity to move outside their comfort zone and cultivate personal growth in an authentic, healthy way.  Sometimes we need to step into the unknown to challenge ourselves, or sometimes we just need to unplug from our daily lives to recharge.

A note about our yoga:  Lynda, Amanda and Dale are fully trained and experienced with anyone new to yoga, as well as the most seasoned practitioner.

A note about excursions:  about one month prior to departure, we will go over the itinerary via a zoom call and you can decide then which additional excursions you would like to add.  It can get quite busy on this trip so be sure you  leave some room for relaxation!

When we travel, we have a new space, with new relationships, which means new ways of relating to ourselves.  This is the magic of wellness travel.  And to make it more magical, travel laced with intention and connection not only supports this experience of self-discovery but becomes the foundation of your journey.  Everyone you share your retreat with is a reinforcer, a mirror, and a confidant of your becoming.   The experience you have on this trip will be as individual as you are as we all have our own unique way and perspective.

About a month prior to departure, we will have a group zoom call and the full itinerary will be distributed.  Here you will get to know our group and all the packing information you need.  We are here to support you every step of the way!

Enjoyed it very much

Fabulous retreat with many thoughtful aspects! Some highlights and specifics include: * We had the entire resort to ourselves which I knew in advance but underestimated the impact. That meant, no matter where you sat you were sitting with friends experiencing the same adventures you were (no needless small talk with strangers). That also meant, the food and drinks were on our schedule vs typically its the other way around. If our excursion departure changed, the resort would accommodate us no problem. Very intimate in a lovely way. *I’ve never been outside for a week straight as we were for this trip. Our rooms had open air screens and it was fabulous. *The food! The fresh fruit, the many options exceeded my expectations. The flavors throughout the week were really great. Our first meal away from Samasati seemed so bland and boring in comparison. * The yoga! Each yoga class had a different focus and was always well thought out. We did strength yoga, relaxation yoga, sound bath and later on in the week we did partner yoga. The narrative during classes was also so intentional and rich. * The instructors! The instructors each brought their own gifts and worked together seamlessly. Good teamwork for sure. They also would take ad hoc questions from us throughout the week. * The excursions, we learned so much all week. From a night hike to white water rafting - each one seemed to top the prior. Volunteering with the girls school "Girls for Success" was a highlight. * As a busy working Mom, I can’t say enough about how refreshing it was just to show up and have someone tell me where to be and at what time. That let me truly be present. Thank you from the bottom of my heart Lynda! You’re a treasure in many ways.

I was blown away by the itinerary for our travels! Every excursion and stay was thoughtfully planned out by Lynda, paralleled with unmatched kindness and respect for the country and its people. The eco-resort at Samasati was an experience in and of itself. The food was top-notch, all prepared in-house, and a different cuisine each night. During my time in Costa Rica, I felt as if I lived many different lives in a matter of 9 days, experiencing this country's beauty and bounty. Zip-lining and white water rafting were both unforgettable adventures with amazing people! I can't wait to return. One of my favorite parts was the two gorgeous yoga rooms at Samasati, right in the middle of the jungle it allowed us to offer a diversified yoga experience to all levels.
