About this trip

Quick Facts:

Dates: 29 Jan - 7 Feb 2025

Type of trip: All female liveaboard
Duration: 10 days
Fly in/out: Sorong Airport; Domine Eduard Osok Airport Sorong (SOQ)

Let's start 2025 with a BANG on the most epic girls trip! January is our favourite time to get away - especially to the scuba diving mecca that is RAJA AMPAT! Marine life does not get any more prolific than in Raja Ampat. So far, over 1500 species of fish have been recorded, 537 corals and nearly 700 mollusc species. Almost all of the hard coral species to be found in the coral triangle can be found here. While scuba diving Raja Ampat, you will find wobbegong, dolphins, manta rays, turtles, whales, nudibranchs, lionfish, sea dragons, giant trevallies and so much more. Nearly 300 fish species were once counted in a single dive! It's not just ALL about diving though, we will be taking an excursion on land to visit one of the most beautiful viewpoints in the world, and visit a local community who live off the ocean around them.

In 2025 we are returning to one of our favourite liveaboard boats in the region - we had an incredible time on this boat in Komodo 2023 that we just had to call it our floating home once again!

Full info on flight recommendations etc sent upon booking

Our floating home

Built in 2022, the 47m Indo Master liveaboard was built on the Indonesian island of Sulawesi and is handcrafted from ironwood and teak (traditional to the area). You will find no other diving liveaboard as beautiful in Indonesian waters and, being built by divers for divers, you can be rest assured that every need has been thought of and addressed.

Welcoming a maximum of 18 guests per cruise ensures that there is ample space to relax. The 9 guest cabins consist of 4 fixed doubles, 4 fixed twins and 1 family suite (2 double beds), all with air-conditioning and private ensuite bathrooms with hot water.

The spacious air-conditioned saloon offers a great setting for your meals and dive briefings, a cocktail bar, comfortable seating, a charging station and a large flat-screen TV.

Is this trip right for you?

All scuba trips are different! Here at Girls that Scuba trips we specialise in group trips centered around fun and friendships. We aim to create once-in-a-lifetime trips where you won't just dive in the best places in the world, but you'll meet like-minded people who may well become dive buddies for life! Group trips mean lots of socialising and getting to know each other. There's also a lot of downtime and opportunities for alone time, but in general, you will always be with the group.

You'll also have a Girls that Scuba trip host with you who is there to make sure everything is running smoothly. She will be your go-to for any suggestions and ideas while on the trip and the middle woman between the liveaboard/dive centre and the group. She is also available for any hints and tips on diving/conditions/gear and anything Girls that Scuba community related as well as always being the one asking for group photos 😉

RAJA AMPAT: You can expect medium to strong currents in Raja, warm water conditions and good visibility. You will be starting and ending dives from a dinghy or from the liveaboard platform. You will be sharing a room on a boat with another female diver and will all eat meals together and hang out together when not diving. You will be diving in groups of around 6 divers or less per group

Dive Requirements

Minimum 30 dives Advanced open water or equivalent. Please note there can be strong currents in Raja you should have experience with diving in currents.

This was the dive trip of a lifetime! Beautifully organized. Girls That Scuba is a superb group and always does the best job. The boat was gorgeous, beautifully appointed and cared for. The crew--dive guides, food prep, mechanics, boat captains, bartenders, cleaners, spa workers--all fabulous, super professional and extremely polite and friendly. I cannot recommend the organizers enough!

Jordan was once in lifetime trip, best of both land tours and scuba diving. Got to see so much of Jordan, all the history, beautiful places and scuba in the Red Sea. We had the best group of women on this trip which made it even more fun. So many amazing memories, stories and pictures have been made! Amman, Dead Sea, Petra and Wadi Rum sites to explore 🫶🏼

Jordan August 2024- This was such a great group! I highly recommend GTS Trips. Girls that scuba is such an incredible thing! To bring girls from all over the world together sharing the same goals. Everyone was so wellversed. I’ve waited my whole life (as others) till I found GTS to do this trip to Jordan to see Petra, Dead Sea, and Red Sea. Thanks for making our dreams come true. Everything was very well planned to a T! Wadi Rum was my favorite land tour. They had a sunset jeep tour, sunrise camel ride tour, star gazing (to do on the side) at the camp we had amazing food and music. After seeing the treasury you had the option to go up to the Monastary -I highly recommend this and taking the mules up and back as it’s very hot after and a lot of steps. The mules made it so fun getting up there with amazing views. Luma was a guide from Diverse Divers Dive shop and host entire time she was amazing and she’s so calm to dive with. Since early 90s Jordan has a police man with the groups on tour buses keeping us safe and we had a guide for the entire trip. I felt very safe on this trip. Bring some cash for shopping, mules, camel rides, tipping etc, in Petra the local Bedouins take great videos and pictures for tips using your phone. I was lucky enough to see a guitar fish underneath the plane on one of the dives. This trip I didn’t see any sharks but a lot of beautiful fish, sea turtles, eel, squid, lionfish, octopus, some of the girls seen a crocodile fish. I’m booked for Maldives 2025. This GTS is definitely an excellent way to travel! 💗

This was my first liveaboard and first GTS trip. Any expectations that I had were quickly surpassed. The boat and the crew were the best! Lauren, our host, did an amazing job of answering all of our questions and making sure everything ran smoothly! The diving was top notch. The women on the trip were from all over the world and we had a wide range of ages but everyone meshed so well together and was so supportive! We had the best time and made amazing friendships! i can’t wait for my next GTS trip!!

Wow! What an incredible first live aboard experience. This is my 2nd GTS trip and it did not disappoint! Amazing boat - the Omneia Soul is a beautiful ship. Boho decor and features, cute rooms, great spaces to lounge on deck, hammocks - I could not ask for more! Praise to Captain Mohamed and his crew. The mechanics, cleaning staff, deck crew, boat attendants, chef, kitchen staff, Nemo, and massage therapist Ahmed - wow! I did not want to leave. The food was amazing! A huge thanks to our dive guides Salah, Sandra, Tolba and Ahmed. I was hoping to see my first hammerhead and wow did we ever!! Great dive briefings, I always felt safe and prepared. And a big thank you to Lauren, our GTS host, who was incredibly welcoming and kind. Thanks to Maddie as well, our resident photographer, can't wait to see the shots! THANKS GTS!! Looking forward to my next trip!
