About this trip

Re-Source & Essential Nature

a small group retreat

with Laura Fuller, M.A., C.Ht., S.E.P.

January January 29th - February 1st

Thursday afternoon - midday Sunday

Deep in the silent and unseen, a new way can begin. Empty into stillness and be held by the generative darkness of Winter in the Valley. Let your energy return to the purest root of your existence. Refine your direct relationship with truth and source. Release what is done, integrate the wisdom of all you have made it through, and choose how to go forward from here.

For some plants in Winter, the energy rests in the roots. Outward expressions go dormant. From an outside observer, it may even appear that the plant is dead, but it is not. The energy goes to the roots to re-source. It is a great wisdom to take this pause. The process of return to essence, brings restoration - and an opportunity to refine the root from which you will grown forward from. This pause takes courage and gives incredible gifts of self-authority and peace.

During our time together, you will get to enjoy the beauty of nature of Zion National Park and also the beauty of the grounds and buildings of Nama-stay. Nama-stay is built with exquisite intelligence which deeply supports an inner organizing of energy.

This intimate, small group retreat will include: deeply held space for group connection, meditation and yoga to help you rest into essence, breathwork for healing, a tea ceremony for presence and magic, free time to rest and enjoy, and a guided process of contemplation where you will define the values that you want to live from this year.

The timing of this retreat coincides with the full moon and Imbolc. A beautiful time for release, cleansing, and new beginning.

What we will be doing:

• Circle work & connection - We will create a space together of deep listening and sharing. Especially in a small group, the alchemy of group work is present and it becomes clear that each person is a part of the medicine. Circle work and work in partners will help you connect to the group and to yourself.

• Yoga - Yoga is a sweet, gentle way to cultivate peace in the body, mind, and soul. It supports you to meet yourself with kindness, rest and restore, and continue forward with reassurance and faith. Morning classes will be energizing, building strength, and helping focus the mind. Evening classes will be restorative and will lead into silent meditations. All levels of experience will be supported.

• Meditation - In the quiet and darkness of the mornings and evenings, we will go deep into meditation. This may include chanting, kriya, or breathing and focusing practices.

• Breathwork  - The term "Breathwork" refers to the technique of the consciously connected breath. It is a ceremonial use of the breath that will take you to states of revelation and healing. In the afternoons, we will do processes of contemplation that will lead into a session of breathwork that will support you in whatever healing is needing to be done.

• Contemplation of Values - over our 4 days together, you will be guided in a contemplation of values that you want to root into this year.

• Art Table  - We will build an art table together where anyone can come to explore and express. If you are willing, please bring some art supplies to contribute.

• Free time - There will be free time in the middle of the day. During this time, you can rest, journal, reflect, connect with others, or journey into the national park.

•Tea Ceremony A beautiful tea ceremony will be guided by Atonka Ma. Through presence and the magic of connection to nature, and sitting together in this practice, guidance and medicine will come.

~ Please Note

~ the prices for this retreat are set low as low as possible for the costs of the area. My hope is to do my best to help the many people who have been having hard times financially. However, if you are in a time of steadiness or abundance, you can pay a little more to help offset costs of those who can't pay as much. It is so important to come together in beautiful places and care for your soul so that we can keep lifted up to create goodness in the world.

Reviews

I loved this retreat. Yucca Shala is comfortable with surprising, innovative touches, leaning to wellness and rest. I loved the swings and shaded seating in front, the gardens along the side and amazing dining area in back. I was able to relax with the Sound Bath, and side trip to mineral springs in Desert Hot Springs. The meals were delicious, healthy and thoughtfully prepared. Laura is a smart and caring host; introducing us to her favorite spots in the desert, and leading intentional and healing group activities. I was so fortunate to be with new and old friends in a beautiful oasis.

Lovely, healing, restful, and engaging retreat. It brought such a fantastic variety of people from all backgrounds and ages, and it was so easy to meaningfully connect with each other as equals and share our experiences. The inner journey was magical both spiritually and within the body and their symbiotic connection. I felt rested and attuned. Highly recommend.

How can I even begin to describe what a beautiful experience I had. The food was over the top and everyone enjoyed the yummy deliciousness whether one was vegan, vegetarian, omniverous, or gluten free. The surrounds are incredible. The red rock hills, the river, the sunrise meditations. The only sad thing was leaving! The most important and best thing of the whole trip was Laura's beautiful leadership and the lovely lovely friends (old and new) who joined. I hope to come back with Laura again.

Oh Philip, it was so amazing to have you there. So amazing to travel together through time and space. It is truly what life is about. And this was a deeply magical group. I simply can't wait for next year!

The retreat in Yucca valley was amazing. The accommodations were good the bunkbed was so comfortable and sleeping with many people in one room was actually comforting. Everyone was kind and mindful about the nighttime noises and watched out what people needed to sleep well. The offerings : breath work, yoga classes and outings to explore the area were wonderful and supported the theme of the retreat. I learned so much and my body was soooooo happy to do yoga every day!!!!!! The mediations outside early in the morning before sunrise were outstanding and special to me, greeting the day and welcoming the sun is always a wonderful moment to set an intention for the day. The food was so yummy and healthy and warm and special, my body was so happy to be feed so well. Laura was so wonderful and made sure that everyone was taken care off, I felt seen and held in a wonderful group of people. And I could have alone time as well if I wanted. All around it was a life changing retreat for me, I am soooo happy that I went and I am looking forward to the next one!!!! Thank you Laura for your kind and amazing presence and all you do for the community. We love you!
