About this trip
La dolce vita, the sweet life, is the spirit of our 2026 retreat where we return to Oliveto, a luxury hilltop estate perched high above the Adriatic Sea and nestled amongst 400 olive trees and 8 acres of rolling hills in the untouched Marche region of Italy.
You may want to spend your days walking through the olive groves, taking a trip to the nearby medieval village, or to the stunning Conero Beach, a 30 minute drive from the villa. Or perhaps you will fully emerge in pampering yourself at the spa, outfitted with a jacuzzi, sauna and steam room, followed by a glass of local wine. All the delectable food Italy is known for might fuel you up for a game at the tennis court or breaking a sweat in the well-equipped gym before taking a dip in the infinity pool. For me, I think I’ll be spending the hours sitting poolside, watching the light play on the hillsides and water, trying to embody the Italian pastime of dolce far niente - pleasant relaxation in carefree idleness.
All that said, this is a yoga retreat! Our daily practices, whether on the yoga deck or in the yoga studio, complete with a breathtaking view, will align with the Italian way of living la dolce vita - reminding us that we don’t need to earn rest and self care, rather they are necessary requirements for a full and healthy life. Sybil leads a daily yoga practice, including asana, pranayama and meditation. Additional opportunities are offered to nurture your spirit and soul.
We were astounded by the perfection of Oliveto Estate and fell in love with the Italian way of life, that is why we are retreating again in Italy in 2026! As in yoga, where words often fall short of describing concepts, you only have to look at the photos from our 2024 retreat to get a sense of how incredible this adventure will be. About the villa
Olivo offers unlimited space and exceptional views, the atmosphere is one of pared down elegance and modern luxury. Expansive views can be enjoyed from all levels of the villa and the floor to ceiling glass doors seamlessly bring together the outside and interior living space as one.
Furnished to the very highest standards, Villa Olivo is a restful retreat, perfectly equipped for special gatherings with family and friends. Throughout the villa you will find an inspiring mix of both contemporary and classic design features such as crystal pendant chandeliers and distressed bronze coffee tables. Natural stone floors sit harmoniously with restful color schemes, reclaimed antique materials contrast beautifully with striking contemporary design details and unique pieces of art and sculpture give the villa a vibrant sense of modern elegance.
Separate spacious living areas can be found on two floors providing a variety of relaxation and chill-out areas throughout the villa, perfect for larger groups or celebrations. The ground floor living area includes a super sleek contemporary fireplace and a large terrace with panoramic views of the sea, countryside and nearby medieval village. Villa Olivo’s numerous terraces and balconies mean you are never far from yet another breathtaking view of Le Marche.

TRIP INSURANCE
We STRONGLY STRONGLY recommend you purchase "cancel for any reason" trip insurance. Most policies will refund up to 75% of your travel costs, some will refund 100%. Do your homework and find a policy that works best for your situation. Make sure Covid cancellations are covered. In 2025, Allianz offers the Best Cancel for Any Reason Travel Insurance Option, with an industry-leading up to 80% reimbursement on prepaid, nonrefundable trip costs and the ability to cancel as late as the day of departure.
