Activate the cleansing energy of spring time with daily yin yoga, pranayama and meditation practices. Enjoy free time by soaking in the hot tub or strolling along the lush forest and rolling mountains. Nourish your body-temple with delicious organic, vegetarian meals, and nurture your soul with time in nature and space for quiet stillness. Revitalize your year through self-care practices, and create space for inspiration and light in your life. James Kapicka will be joined by co-facilitators Ashley Klemens & Nathan Foli! Ashley is passionate about guiding people in the process of self discovery and embodiment. She will be supporting and assisting yoga practices and offering safe space for free movement expression. Nathan's passion is encouraging others to express themselves through music, specifically drumming, in order to hone their intuition and creativity. He will be offering sound bath and drumming into abundance.

Know Before You Go

  • Check in is at 4 pm on Thursday.
  • Check out is at 1 pm on Sunday.

  • Be prepared to leave your cell phone OFF for the entirety of your stay, give yourself a digital detox!
  • If possible, arrange your schedule so arrival back home on Sunday, May 6th is gentle and smooth. Perhaps schedule less the first few days of the week after returning to allow integration. 
  • The nearest airport is San Jose 

Please Bring:

  • Any personal yoga props: mat, block, blanket, meditation cushion, strap, etc.
  • A reusable water bottle ideally stainless steel (no glass by the pool): please no plastic water bottles.
  • Any regular medications and toiletries.
  • Clothing for all types of weather: rain coat, comfortable hiking shoes, sun hat, extra layers, comfy clothes for movement and yoga.
  • Swimsuit, as the hot tub and pond require clothing.
  • A tarp if you are camping in a tent, for the ground and in case of rain.
  • Earplugs to ensure you sleep soundly.
  • Spending money for the Ocean View Bookstore or the Āñjaneya's World Cafe (serves hot and cold drinks).
  • Double and Single rooms include linens, camp in your own tent or vehicle you provide your own bedding

Please Do Not Bring:

  • Outside food. All our meals are vegetarian prepared by the Center's chefs, fruit and tea are available 24/7.
  • Drugs, alcohol, pets, incense, candles or other flammables.
  • Scented body products, as these cause severe toxic reactions in some people.

Exceptional facilitation from James, Sarah, Ashley and Nathan. They really listened to the group at all times and sensed into what would best suit us creating are retreat full of flow and ease. I felt comfortable and welcomed from the moment that I arrived and honestly didn’t want the experience to end. I would highly recommend anyone to take part in future events, whatever your capabilities are with yoga James’ attentive guidance will allow you to move into postures and shapes that suit you best. Beautifully led weekend retreat. I deeply appreciate James and Sarah for their kindness, patience and direction. It was a special group. I personally felt so amazed by the meditation, yoga, massage, music, and overall healing. It is difficult to sum up the power of this retreat into words. It took me a few days to integrate back to my day to day life. I am determined to keep the helpful weekend bits of wisdom with me as I continue to heal. Thank you for the wonderful retreat! James and Sarah were very knowledgeable and wonderful teachers. The small size of the group made them very easy to talk to and question about the various sessions. A wonderfully diverse yoga retreat. And, Mount Madonna provided excellent support for the retreat.
