Three big events today! #1, we're riding out in a big loop to Kitch Iti Kipi, the famous Big Springs. You'll take a ride on the barge over the pond and see fissures below where the spring water erupts through the sands, surrounded by giant trout floating in their sanctuary.

Next up, lunch at Thompson-Rogers Roadside Park on Lake Michigan, with the natural artesian wells providing refreshing water!

Big event #3, we'll enjoy dinner on the private beach in front of our hotel! This fun-filled day is a blast, and fun for all.

We've got a lovely 50-mile day today. You'll cycle next to the Haywire Grade, the first rail-trail in Michigan, now best used by gas powered off-road vehicles and snowmobiles. We have sag stops planned near Dodge Lake, at Jackpine Campground, with lunch in Shingleton (option at the Bear Trap) before finishing with arrival at the waterfront in Munising. Most guests dip their front tire in the bay before jumping into the refreshing clear water!

A day with a hundred options for you. There are local outfitters who offer kayaking in the Pictured Rocks, plus several local tour boat operators. In addition, if the group allows, we might even pool our resources as a group and get our own pontoon boat ride for the morning. 

If water isn't your thing, we have some self-guided bike rides in the area to offer, plus there are numerous waterfalls in the city to walk to. Munising is also a quaint town, and you could spend the day reading in a local coffee shop.

We'll have a group picnic dinner tonight at the gazebo, near the bandshell where there is usually music playing. It's fun!

Today you'll ride across the backside of the Pictured Rocks, on County Road H-58. This is Tour Chief Jim's favorite ride of the season, with significant changes in terrain and forest growth. Highlights include the beautiful scenery on this quiet road, our lunch stop at the Lake Superior overlook, a chance to see the Log Slide, plus the Grand Sable Visitor's Center, on to Sable Falls, and then Grand Marais, pictured above!

Grand Marais has some wonderful dining options for you, plus ice cream, a brew pub, and the Pickel Barrel Museum!

We leave Lake Superior today and head south to Curtis, enjoying some lovely new pavement on the way into Seney. We ride past the Seney National Wildlife Refuge, with a chance for you to stop at the Tee Pee rest area, built in the 1930s by the CCC.

Tonight we're at famous Chamberlin's Ole Forest Inn, a historic B&B complete with a bar and kitchen. This is our favorite night of the summer!

Today we close our tour with a 40-mile morning ride back to Manistique, where a delicious box lunch from Chamberlin's will be served. About half our ride today is on River Road, a quiet county road meandering through forest and hobby farms. It's a lovely ride for you!
