If you arrive later than 1pm on the first day or depart earlier than 1pm on the final day you will be responsible for your own transport, but please keep in mind that there are very few, if any, alternative options on departure day.

GENERAL THINGS TO CONSIDER
**Temperatures will likely be around 45-50F/7-10C at night and 70-80F/20-27C during the day, though it can be significantly colder in June; layers are key!
** We strongly recommend bringing a hydration pack so that you can carry snacks, water, camera, extra layers, etc. If you don't own one, the best way to find a good fit is to go try them on! Head to your nearest run specialty or outdoor retailer; you'll know when you find the right fit.
Most everything is already paid for and credit cards are widely accepted, so you shouldn’t need much in the way of cash.
The only things you may need to purchase will be alcohol, any personal snacks that you may want (we'll make a stop at a grocery store), souvenirs and tips if you choose (never expected but always appreciated!).
State: Oregon
Country: United States
Altitude: 1000-3000 ft.
Landscapes: The areas that we'll visit are incredibly diverse. You’ll experience high desert, dramatic canyons, wild rivers, old growth forest and plenty of waterfalls!
Food: Breakfasts will be hearty with plenty of options, including things such as fresh fruit, oatmeal, yogurt, eggs and always plenty of coffee. Lunches will be post-run picnic style - sandwiches, fruit, salty and sweet snacks, etc. Some dinners are sourced from a variety of great local restaurants while others are prepared by a private chef right at "home" and will always feature plenty of healthy, fresh, delicious food. We can accommodate typical dietary restrictions, but please make sure you indicate any special needs when you register!
Drinks: Oregon is home to more craft breweries, vineyards & kombucha makers than we could possibly list here, and we certainly encourage you to drink local! Our accommodations are all located in quiet, scenic areas and we will make sure that you have plenty of chance to stock up on whatever beverages you'd like to have for the week. Coffee will always be provided with breakfast, along with drinking water for the runs.
Weather: Generally speaking you can expect bright sunny days with temps around 45-50F/7-10C at night, 70-80F/20-27C during the day and low humidity, though June can still surprise with significantly colder temperatures. We’ll touch base the week prior to the trip with a more accurate weather forecast.
.
Connectivity: You will have wifi at all of our accommodations, but please expect little to no cell service after Day 2. A true getaway!
Accommodation: We will stay at three unique properties during this trip, each one intimate and welcoming in a way that only locally-owned lodges can be. The first is involves an assortment of cozy cabins and lodge rooms in the Crooked River Canyon, where your door will open to sweeping canyon views and that magical high desert light. Rooms here are double occupancy with a limited number of single rooms; you can indicate preference and we will assign rooms as registrations are received.
The second is a charming Victorian-style bed and breakfast located in a tiny town called Westfir, where you can kick back on the patio, listen to the river and gaze straight up at steep, forested slopes of the Cascades. We will have the whole place, hosted by a wonderful local couple, and everyone will have their own room here.
The trip finishes at a lodge nestled in the old growth near the legendary McKenzie River where the group will share a spacious, comfortable mountain home with lots of beautiful gathering space (and of course, a fire pit) right outside. The spacious suites will all be shared, with 2-3 people per room (each room has its own bathroom!).
With each place you can expect mountain-rustic design, locally-owned hospitality and right-at-home comfort!
