ARRIVAL

- Into Padang, Indonesia (PDG) Airport no later than October 21th 

We will coordinate your transfer to and from the Airport to the Transfer Hotel. Please Send us your flight details as soon as toys have it so we can coordinate.  You will stay at the transfer Hotel the night of October 21th for a 6 am departure to the Mentawai's on October 22th. 

*** Your transfer hotel will be covered for your arrival October 11th and departure October 23nd nights. If you wish to settle in and stay a few extra nights that will be an additional cost and we can help coordinate for you so please let us know. 

DEPARTURE

-From Padang, Indonesia (PDG) Airport on November 3rd

For departure we will leave the island on November 2nd after a morning surf. We will be staying at the Transfer Hotel on the night of November 2nd. And will coordinate your ride from the Hotel to the airport on November 3rd. 

International Flights - 

Destination: (PDG) Padang, Sumatra, Indonesia   

* Most flights will connect through Jakarta (CGK) or you will have to purchase a separate roundtrip domestic flight from Jakarta (CGK) - PDG) Padang  .  

* For International Airlines we suggest Singapore Airlines, Emirates and Qatar Airlines. For domestic travel within Indonesia we suggest Garuda Indonesia Airlines.  

* If you have any questions about travel please contact us directly and we can help to suggest a route that is supportive for you and your travel

* It is always advised when booking International and Domestic flights to check with your airline about any bag restrictions they may have in place to make sure your boards arrive when you do

Are you a surfer who is comfortable with the basic surfing skills and progressed beyond the beginner stage ready to take it to the next level ? 

Have you been surfing for many years and reached a plateau in your surfing and are ready to blast into the next dimension of your surf experience?

Well this trip is for you💙 See the basic requirements to dive into this retreat below. 

A few skills and requirements in your surfing abilities to ensure this is the right trip for you. 

- Efficient at paddling into and catching your own waves.

- Being able to go down the line of the wave. 

- Wave awareness and positioning.

- Confident in different conditions and know your limits.

- Duck diving and turtle rolling.

- Efficient at handling yourself and your board in a lineup. 

You do not need to be a pro at any or all these skills,. We want to make sure you are comfortable and efficient at the basics of surfing to ensure you get the most out of your experience.

Our pro team -  Kassia, Leah, and Makala -  is here to help you elevate your skills and boost your confidence in the epic and uncrowded perfection of these remote islands. 

While we're heading to the Mentawai Islands during the shoulder season, there's always the chance of unexpected swells, and all waves break over reefs. This necessitates being a proficient surfer capable of catching your own waves, maneuvering in the lineup, and feeling comfortable with duck diving and turtle rolling. We won't be pushing individuals into waves. 

This retreat caters to intermediate to experienced surfers seeking to enhance their skills and progress to the next level.

Throughout this retreat, our focus will be on refining your abilities across a range of boards, including longboards, mid-lengths, fishes, single fins, and shortboards. We'll emphasize ocean awareness, bottom turns, cross-stepping, nose riding, cutbacks, and infusing more fluidity and creativity into your surfing.

*** If you're a beginner or still working on your popup and lineup identification, we're excited for your journey and want to support you. However, this trip may not be suitable for you, and we can recommend another retreat better tailored to your needs. So please reach out.

*All deposits and payments are nonrefundable. 

If you have to cancel due to illness or other reason please let us know right away and we can work together to find a replacement for your spot. If we can in time,  your deposit and any other monies paid will be refunded minus a $100 service fee. 

We understand things can happen last minute so we always recommend travel insurance

- Surfboard(s)   Bring the board you are most comfortable on. We suggest bringing at least 2x Boards as the waves will range in size and speed depending on the swell and spots we surf. 

- Surf Gear   Bring your surfboards, leashes, reef booties, fins, surf wax and ding repair kit. 

- Surf Attire  Surf hat, longsleeve rash guards, swimsuits, surf leggings, board shorts. The water is tropical but if you tend to get cold we suggest a wetsuit jacket or light 1.5 mm spring suit. 

- Sunscreen  Please bring non-toxic, reef-safe sunscreen for both Body & Face

- Toiletries   Please bring non-toxic soaps, shampoos, conditioners etc to minimize our footprint on the island

- Medical Kit   Please bring your own personal medical kit

- Other Suggested Packing Items 

 Waterproof bag for boat trips,  reusable water bottle, book & personal journal, sarong or coverup, rain jacket for passing thunderstorms,  sun hat for the beach & boat, photocopies of passport

- Cash  To buy gifts and tip the resort staff

- Harddrive - We suggest at least 1 T of space to bring your photos & videos home with you

Experience the ultimate getaway at BOTIK , where luxury meets adventure. Our guests will stay in spacious, shared beachfront bungalows. Each bungalow features AC and is equip with fans to invite the refreshing ocean breeze as you unwind at nigh. Inside each bungalow, you'll find a cozy lounge area, while outside, deck chairs await for leisurely moments observing the rhythms of the jungle. Your stay includes seamless boat transfers to the waves, along with accommodation, three nourishing meals daily, water, coffee and juice. 

The resort offers four spacious bungalows for our shared accommodations , each equipped with luxurious beds. If you're joining us with friends, simply let us know, and we'll arrange accommodations to keep your group together. For couples seeking privacy, reach out to us, and we'll strive to accommodate your request for a private space.
