Arrive LAX or San Diego. Pick-up rental vehicle (mid size suv or similar) and drive two hours south ((114 miles/183 km) to Del Mar, just North of San Diego. If you transfer at LAX and fly to San Diego, you will only be 23 miles/37 km to your hotel in the beautiful seaside village of Del Mar. Check in to Hotel Indigo San Diego Del Mar, an IHG Hotel (or similar) for 7 nights. Upgraded accommodations available upon request to waterfront properties in La Jolla Cove or La Jolla Shores (see above suggestions). Indigo is a great property only 4 miles/7 km to Torrey Pines Golf Courses and 11 miles/17 km to La Jolla Cove.
