Join us for seven nights and six full days as we explore the culturally rich beauty of San Miguel de Allende as the region prepares for and celebrates Dia de los Muertos.
This special tour is scheduled to coincide with the famous Day of the Dead celebrations that take place throughout Mexico October 30th through November 2nd. This tour is created with flexibility in mind, allowing each guest to determine the speed and structure they desire, while providing access to a wide variety of experiences.
All of our tours offer a wide variety of unique experiences while also providing chances for guests to adjust the plans to match their desired speed and intensity.
Read the tour Itinerary summary below for more details.
Throughout the trip we will have the opportunity to dine at a wide variety of extraordinary restaurants (from casual street food to fine dining). While the tour offers many unique scheduled experiences, its casual structure also provides daily opportunities for guests to adjust the plans to match their interests and desired speed and intensity.
IDENTIFICATION ~ A valid passport is required.
ALTITUDE ~ San Miguel de Allende: 6,234 ft
WEATHER ~ Because of its higher altitude, weather and temperatures are moderate year round. Typical daytime temperatures are in the upper 70s and nighttime temperatures around 50f. October and November are traditionally very dry.
ACCOMMODATIONS ~ We stay at Casa Carly, a wonderfully located charming boutique hotel with an authentic San Miguel feel. Each suite is unique and opens up to an extensive courtyard that makes for a great meeting point and wonderful evening happy hours.
PHYSICAL EXERTION ~ Moderate Exertion (2 of 5) – This tour consists of mostly in- town, moderately paced walking on hilly cobblestone streets. Guests with step-tracking devices often find they walk more than 10,000 steps on most days.
The arrival day of the San Miguel de Allende tour adjoins the departure day of the Queretaro tour (25-10-20-MX-QRO), making it easy to do them together and receive an extra night of accommodations at no additional cost. Simply book both tours and we'll take care of combining the packages and reserving your extra night at the hotel.
The tour must “make” with a minimum of 6 people by June 20, 2025.
