About this trip

SARGA PRACTICE SESSION

Participants will showcase advanced proficiency in Sarga Bodywork, effectively applying techniques from Sarga 101 and if applicable, Sarga 102, fostering community connections, and refining their unique therapeutic expression.  Participants will provide 2 practice sessions and receive 2 practice sessions with different therapists, giving and receiving valuable feedback from each exchange in order to demonstrate proficiency in working with a variety of body types and preferences.  Should participants be looking to complete Sarga Bodywork certification, they are also able to use the structured feedback process and forms provided as part of their certification process (i.e., 2 practice sessions can be counted towards the 20 required for certification upon successful completion of this event).

We will be working on raised tables and please ensure you meet all requirements, as we are following the capacities of the equipment in this location.

Refine your Sarga techniques for both posterior and anterior applications, and leave equipped to perform a comprehensive 90-minute full-body sequence on raised massage tables.

Before You Book: Course Requirements

Prerequisites and requirements:

  • Must have taken a Sarga 101 and or Sarga 102 class
  • Must meet your state/country's massage licensure requirements.
  • Must have current liability/malpractice insurance in the state/country where you practice (no exceptions).
  • The weight and height limit for this particular course is: 165lbs and/or 5’10” • no exceptions, sorry - equipment in PDX has been tested. Sarga Bodywork does not have specific age/weight restrictions for students. However each instructor reserves the right to require a limit of height and weight for Safety Considerations on Raised Massage Tables www.sargabodywork.com/prepare.
  • Fitness level is especially important for Sarga Bodywork practices on raised massage tables.

If you do not feel confident that you could meet these four requirements or if the location equipment and classroom cannot accommodate the height and weight parameters above, but you would still like to attend a Sarga Bodywork course, then our floor-based courses would be the best fit for you!

Please contact sarga@sargabodywork.com directly for floor based course inquiries. While basic strength and conditioning is still important here, a floor-based practice provides practitioners a much wider and more stable working area, and fitness level is less of a consideration.

Linda was just such an intuitive instructor. She had a way with working with your individual learning style and body mechanics to lead through the tricky new world of Sarga! Her eye for safety had my very fear driven- holy hell I’m going to fall- mind at ease from the very first day.

Simply amazing! Mrs. Linda was very precise teaching the curriculum. Her space was very organized and the energy all around her was comforting. I will definitely be back for a retake!

This Couples Massage Class was absolutely amazing. Linda Caravia did a fantastic job creating a truly safe space to explore couple's massage with my fiancé. The massage techniques taught were very specific and very helpful for us. We both felt so comfortable and connected throughout the class, and it was such a special experience to learn these new skills together. Linda's expertise and guidance made the whole session incredibly enjoyable and informative. We can't wait to practice and incorporate these techniques into our regular self-care routine. Thank you, Linda, for such a memorable and relaxing experience!
