Shark & Safari provides shark cage diving tours from Simonstown Falsebay, a 45-minute drive from Cape Town. Shark diving occurs around Seal Island which is just off the coast and is home to one of the largest seal colonies in Southern Africa. Seal Island is a small land mass(2.0 hectares) located 5.7 kilometres off the northern beaches of False Bay, near Cape Town, in South Africa. The island is so named because of the great number of Cape fur seals that occupy it. The approximately 64,000 seals provide the main diet of the Great White Shark.

NOTES

CHILDREN

• No children under 8 years of age. Children are prone to seasickness as are adults, however, the effect of seasickness on children is much more pronounced with dehydration being a factor. Children also have a lower threshold for pain and discomfort.
• Children 10 years old + will be allowed into the cage on the basis that parents vouch for their aquatic experience.

Please note: Sharks are completely wild animals, so sightings and behaviour cannot be guaranteed. We will use our best knowledge to give you the most realistic expectations before making a booking.

Our Boat and Cage
Our vessel is a 36-foot catamaran, specifically built for cage diving and the viewing of sharks from the surface. A dry cabin, soft cushioned seats, and a flush toilet ensure your comfort at sea. She complies with all safety requirements and Great White Shark permit conditions.
