What an incredible tour!! We did the side by sides and it was so much fun. Such a great value too. The ride was long and our guide even found a sloth in the wild for us at the end. So much fun. 10/10 experience.

Transportation was very tricky for me to figure out while in La Fortuna. I found the $20 unlimited shuttle pass and it was easy and convenient. The pick up point at La Choza was walking distance from downtown and the driver was timely. They don’t “oversell” so it is not crowded and they don’t make extra stops if they know no one is at an attraction. The driver confirms what time and location you can expect him to return when he drops you off. The office sells tickets to attractions at “gate” price and then will provide door-to-door shuttle service. The guy at the front desk speaks English well and advises you on what to tell the driver. For example the “shuttle” stop at Mistico is 2 km from entrance, but if you pay cash to the shuttle company for your tickets, they take you all the way to the entrance for no added fee. Since the driver had no additional passengers, the shuttle was basically a private transfer for us. We did have to wait for the next departure time to get home- which gave us time to kill at the cafe after our hike. This shuttle partners with the hostel and offers a free shuttle to the free hot springs. There was a girl who rode with us who tried to game the system and get a free stop without buying either the attraction ticket or the unlimited shuttle pass. The driver refused to let her off at her unpaid stop. She cried “why am I being kidnapped!” And made a whole scene about how rude he was before she finally admitted that her friend had paid and she had not. In summary. Don’t try and get free rides and this shuttle works great!

It was a great experience! The guides were friendly and encouraging! Pura vida!!!!

The view is amazing and the staff really friendly. We felt save and it was a crazy experience!
