Bratislava-Prague Hockey Trip

Thanks so much for another excellent time!  The tours were great, and the mix of teams worked well.  So happy to meet so many new people, including the guide, Albert!!  He managed us well, and that was no small feat.  Looking forward to booking the next trip!

Overall, the trip was well planned, accommodations were good and transportation to the rink was convenient and on time.
The dinner following the last game was not great and not worth the cost.
Also, I would’ve liked to have been able to get a tshirt or something to mark the event.


Had an amazing time!  As with every trip I've taken with travel and play everything was so well organized, excursions/tours were amazing and the hockey was lots of fun. Our guide Albert took great care of our whole crazy group and made sure we all had a great time.  Already looking forward to the next one.

Absolutely bucket list trip! The itinerary was built to allow for guided tours & opportunities to explore. Hotels were very accommodating to storing our gear. Tour guide Albert always made sure we saw the most of our day trips, even let us sneak in a non planned spa day! Can’t wait for the next trip!

This was our first international soccer tournament, and it was a great experience. Everything was easy to use and the information was accurate, down to the small details. Travel and lodging accommodations were nice and well-suited for the American lifestyle. Having a contact to ask questions provided confidence that everything was processed appropriately (payments, travel, hotels, expectations of guests, etc). Overall, I would do this trip again in a heartbeat.

2024 C2 United Vildbjerg Trip

We had a wonderful trip. The accommodations were nice,  and the location was convenient due to them being in the center of the cities. The breakfast buffets had plenty of options and were delicious.  

VA United Gothia Cup 2024

A lovely experience. Our family made lots of nice memories. We enjoyed combining sport and sightseeing. We enjoyed the lovely cities of Copenhagen and Helsingborg. The Viking museum was fantastic. We enjoyed chatting with a few Danish and Swedish parents. We were quite lucky to have fantastic weather for the majority of the trip. Thanks the coaches and staff for making the trip memorable.

Solid trip!!  Dirk, AK, Katrina, and of course Sven were great hosts through our the trip.  The mix of sight seeing and playing soccer was perfect.  Highly recommend this trip to everyone!!

We had a fantastic time. Hotel was centrally located with walking distance to all fields and many restaurants. We enjoyed the accommodations and the excursions too!!

2024 C2 United Rey Cup Tour

Thank you for the great trip! Our son enjoyed everything that Copenhagen and Helsingborg had to offer - the food, the accommodations, the cities, and the level of soccer play.  It was better than he anticipated!

This was our daughter's second trip, and she again had a great time with some teammates from the year before, but many, many new ones. Good times and new experiences - thank you!

We had a great trip. The hotel was wonderful.  Transportation to and from was super easy.  The tours that were part of our trip were so much fun! We had a blast and can't wait to go back.  

It was a great experience for the players, coach, and parents.  We had excellent guides when we arrived.  We opted to stay in the hotels, not school, which were very nice.  We would have loved to have more training field space and time as well as friendlies when we got knocked out.  We also did not get to sit together on the flights and the seats were a bit random, which was hard with a group. We had more sightseeing time then expected so we could have used more suggestions.  But all in and all a good trip.

Copenhagen plus Gothia Cup 2024 Virginia Victory

We had a great time and so thankful for the incredible experience! We enjoyed our accommodations and sight seeing on top of the tournament.  We had Victoria and Christian to guide us during our adventures. They were both amazing to talk with and learn from. They were very helpful with any questions we had or if anything needed. 

We had a great time. Wonderful people, fantastic atmosphere and extremely helpful staff. 
Would absolutely do this again!!

Carolina FC Gothia Cup 2024

Tournament fantastic,  hotel choices fantastic,  communication on what food was provided lacked. It came off all food provided but only brkfast was. Looking more like a team and traveling in uniforms or polls in think represent better, then just " only wear  if you want".  Tournament itself awesome.

Great hotel locations. 

Communication can improve. We could have avoided people showing the wrong date at the airport or forgetting to clear safety boxes in Copenhagen. 

The packing list should include an air mattress for the players.

Maybe a list of attractions/landmarks to visit in each location. 

We enjoyed every part of this trip. The accommodations, the location, the food, the support, the guides. 

We had a fantastic time! Met new people, tried new things and had a blast. The guides and activities were great.

We had a great time. Destinations were great and opposing clubs were welcoming. Accommodations were nice except the total lack of air conditioning. I know European hotels are a bit different but in 80 degree temps AC is a must. Our bus was also without air conditioning and our luggage barely fit. My daughters had to hold their carry ons from the airport to our first destination. Our guide was great, but I wish he would have done something about the bus.


GTFC Girls Trip To Belgium and UK

We had another wonderful experience through Travel & Play (we went on a trip last year as well).  Once again Bernd was a outstanding travel guide throughout the different stops and the girls thoroughly enjoyed the soccer games that were arranged in Germany, Belgium and France!

This trip was an amazing experience for our daughter! She got to see and do so many awesome things in Europe! This group has many wonderful people and they really put together an extraordinary trip and thought of all the details! 10/10 Recommend! 

Overall our family had a great experience on this trip.  Travel was a bit rough for everyone, us included.  Some very important things need to be discussed with families before going on such a trip.  Feedback on the trip below: 

For instance, we did a zoom prior to departure and euros were not expressed appropriately.  Euros are most definitely a necessity.  Some countries and areas charge for bathroom use, some restaurants and bars do not accept credit or debit cards and don't post signs as "cash only".  I'd suggest taking a couple hundred euros on any future trips.   

Additionally, we had a large group and required a large bus.  The bus had no working air conditioning nor do a lot of places you stay.  We hit an unusually hot few days and the long bus rides were miserable, especially for the players in the back.  This should have been remedied as soon as possible, but was not.  This went on for a majority of the trip.  Every bus ride got worse.  However, our bus driver Ari was awesome and understandably it was not his fault.  He was a great driver and help along the way but it was a bit unbearable. 

We were also guaranteed 2 meals daily.  This did not happen on one day and we had to pay for our meals the entire day.  Just a comment here since it was expressed that we'd get 2 meals a day. 

The ferry ride was explained to us on many occasions but did not turn out like it was explained to the group.  We were told that we'd embark at a certain time and that did not happen, we were told they'd put our luggage in storage on the boat and that didn't happen until pressed by our group leader.  Once we set sail, the restaurant closed within a few minutes and the bar shortly after that.  Just beware the cabins are very small and not everything went as planned.  Also, the air conditioning was less than impressive on the ship. 

In England, I felt bad for our group leader as he was left to figure a lot out on his own.  Managing 54 people and trying to manage things that should have been done for him in advance was extraordinary to watch.  Although he did it well and in stride, it was not his responsibility.  Our tour guide once in England didn't appear to have much knowledge as our guide in Europe.  We also were taken to the wrong hotel and unloaded only to find out we needed to load back up and head down the street.  Again, if you are the tour leader, just a word of advice, be prepared to handle some things on your own here as ours did it well but it wasn't his responsibility to do so. 

Our flights were also delayed leaving England and didn't know if we were staying in our connecting city our we were actually going to get a flight from there home or not.  This was frustrating as it was also being handled by our person with little to no communication from We Travel until we finally landed at our connecting airport.  We were delayed over 6 hours.  

Positives: Our tour guide in Europe was very knowledgeable and kept a tight itinerary.  He was great as was our bus driver.  I'd visit him and would enjoy having the same bus driver.  In addition, the places we visited were very nice and the teams we played were great for our kids to get to know and spend time with.  My daughters appreciated everything and thanked my wife and I for taking them on this trip for the experience.   

Not on We Travel but if I had it to do over again I'd spend a little more time in certain places and not so much in others.  It seemed like we spent more time on the bus then we did in the actual places we visited.  2 hours here 5 hours there and back etc.  

I would do the trip again for the experience and the company of our people and for our kids, but in my opinion some things shouldn't have fallen on our people, specifically our leader.  In addition, I feel that the issues we ran into should have been fixed immediately and without question.  And, we were promised the 2 meals which was not true.  For the amount of money we paid for our entire family to go, we were hopeful it would all turn out to be top notch.  Understanding that we'd run in to a few hiccups as we do have them on every trip, we would have worked to make the necessary fixes for sure if we were on our own and it is exponentially worse when you have quite a few people to accommodate.  

Had a great time and furnished with friendly and extremely knowledgeable personnel.  Both bus drivers and Bernt were A+++.  The equipment however was a D....air conditioning in first bus did not work and did not have the necessary "trailer" for all luggage in spite of our driver's early request.  Some office personnel did not do their job.

LAS VEGAS HEAT – ENGLAND 2024

We had a GREAT time! So well planned and organized! This was such a great lifetime experience I don’t think I would have ever had with my son had we not had our guides Martin and paddy! Thank you so much for this!

We had an amazing trip that I will treasure forever with my son. Everything was perfect, the hotels, the food, the tours at the stadium, watching the games, the bus driver, Becka our tour guide knew everything and was able to accommodate our Football game that it was not part of our tour, all the site seeing's in London were the best. Also, I want to thank Barry for all the advise on where to stay at the Heathrow airport since I had a 6:30am flight. I really recommend Travel and Play and I will travel again with them. YOU ARE THE BEST. THANK YOU!

BUSC England 2024

We had a fantastic time visiting Germany and the Czech Republic with my kids’ soccer club.  We fit so much into 9 days, but still also had free time as well.  Food was great, sites were breathtaking, tours were wonderful.  Our tour guides were fantastic.  Our bus driver was also great.  Highly recommend.  Can’t wait until next year! 

North Soccer 2024 Germany and Czech Republic Tour

We had a wonderful trip. We got to watch EPL games, League 2 game, two stadium tours. The boys had a great experience of couple of training sessions and 3 games. We also had a great experience of sight seeing at London and trying out some of the delicious food options there. The company of the group made it extra special as well, we all got along well.

We had an amazing time on our trip to England!  Can't wait to do it again with my other sons when they hit this age.  

It got off to a rocky start, and I will say being sleep deprived didn't help. Eventually things turned around and everything ran like clock work. I'd have to say the generosity of the Icelandic people won me over more than anything else!  I'd say my team was extremely happy with our trip.
Fun, trouble, a win, a loss and a few ties and nobody was arrested!

Lonestar SC Women's World Cup 2023

Thank you for a fantastic experience. The accommodations were excellent, the communication was outstanding! I was truly impressed by how organized everything was and how easy and enjoyable the entire trip was. A vacation planned by someone else, but with enough free time to book some of my own activities was a perfect balance! We will be looking forward to booking our next trip with Travel & Play.

The trip was very well planned and executed. The staff was fantastic across the board and the experience for my son was amazing. 

CCL PLAYERS Vildjberg Cup Tour 2023

Daughter had a great time! 

The Hotel was nice & the food there was very good. She enjoyed the athletics center set-up as well if not more so due to more time for camaraderie with various teams.  
Although the food was not too good there. 

I understood the players were not as excited having the parents/siblings around as much on this trip, especially on the buses where the players wanted to play their music to get into game mode but they didn’t feel comfortable with the parents & siblings to be themselves singing along to music.  Prior trips my daughter was aware that the team & coaches stayed together w/ minimal interaction f/ parents w/ the teams. 
 The highlight for her was indeed Iceland! Thank you to Barry & team for taking care of the kids. My daughter had a fabulous time & did not want to return home. The extra time to bond w/ her teammates and coach was invaluable. The kids are constantly going from game to game but some extra downtime at the end should be considered for the kids on future trips. We understand this was a different circumstance due to a missed flight, but extra  bonding & downtime w/ teammates was priceless for her. And, another highlight in Iceland was the geyser and waterfall- Thank you!

The flight with SAS was great! The service was great. 

Our stay in Copenhagen was awesome. They provided us with opportunities to visit landmarks and the tours were great. Our guide was great. He was easy to talk to and was able to answer all of my questions.

At Herning, the shuttle service back and forth to Vildjberg was awesome and essential. The hotel at Herning was close to lots of food options which made dinners great. The last day we went to Aarhus for several hours. We were left to explore and I just sort of wondered around not really knowing what to do. I wish we went to see the World War 2 fortifications which was an option. I am not sure why Aarhus was chosen.

The only disappointment was the players missing their connected flight with Play Airlines and my daughter being stuck in Iceland for 5 days waiting for the connecting flight out. Her being stuck while others went home was frustrating. I appreciate all that was done by the staff for the players to enjoy this "extra" time. She also watched her luggage damaged by airline workers and relied on the staff to help her navigate that situation. The staff did not have the time to help with this situation. Unfortunately, at the time of this writing, that situation has not resolved itself as now I am trying to navigate this which seems like an uphill battle.

Sporting Iowa East

We all had a wonderful time and the only complaint/disappointment I have is that we were promised a tour of a well known castle and its property but it didn't happen. Myself and several other members were looking forward to it. The staff, especially Barry and Derk, were very knowledgeable and super kind. Everything that we experienced, whether on our own or with the group, was wonderful. I would do the trip again with this agency and group.

We had a great time ! Everything was organized professionally.  Food was great! Our tour director Sven was outstanding!

Well organized and fun trip. Travel and Play went above and beyond expectations when the team experienced travel delays. Thanks for a wonderful experience for the kids.

This was an exceptional experience for my son. He met some really great coaches and friends.  The only suggestion I have is to increase the practices prior to heading out. With only 2 practices the boys did not have time to bond on the field. During the trip you could see a tremendous improvement after they had 2 games under their belt.  We would be interested in participating again to a different country. 

It was an amazing trip great staff and great tournment.

NY Hota Bavarian Soccer Club

Had an enjoyable time. Great architecture throughout the country. I enjoyed walking and biking around the Copenhagen area. Food was bland, little to no seasoning, I made it a priority to only eat the local foods and no American food chains. The Coffee shops are very good and give off a better feel then being overcharged at a Starbucks. The people are very nice and almost all know how to speak English and very helpful if you have questions or need suggestions. The Vildjberg Cup tournament was a blast, unfortunately it rained almost every day which was uncommon during the summer season there. The fields were nice for the first day but the amount of rain fall and constant games being played definitely tore them up, lots of mud in all walking paths to get to each field. The amount of games played throughout the 4 days, buying a chair to sit on is a good investment. If you cant bring your own the sports shop on the corner sells them for ~$15-$20.
