THE XENARTHRANS: There are seven sloth species, ten anteater species, and 22 armadillo species.
In Suriname you’ve great chance to spot two types of sloths.
1. Pale-Throated Three-Toed Sloth (Bradypus tridactylus)
2. Southern Two-Toed Sloth(Choloepus didactylus)
During this tour we’ll head to Cultuurtuin, this is a nice forest at the back of the Paramaribo Zoo. A few years ago Green Heritage Fund Suriname rescued Sloth and released them safely in the Cultuurtuin forest.
We’ll walk silently and patiently to spot the SLOTHS!

Today we’ll start at 16pm and we’ll be walking in the Cultuurtuin to spot the slow moving animals; the SLOTHS!
Please keep in mind we have to be patient and it’s not aloud to be very loud.
We’ve great chance to spot the sloths, which live in the forest, but it’s never a 100% guaranty.
It will be a nice 2 hours jungle walk to spot the sloths and learn more about them.
Dress well for this trip. We recommend long trousers and shirt with long sleeves.
