Joy, connected flow, lifted frequencies, luxury, and giant fun will fill your days during this soulful retreat. Over 7 days, we’ll dive into intention, be present to receive, flow and groove in immersive daily yoga practices set in a sun-lit treetop shala. We will laugh and revel dancing under stars, savor exotic and delicious meals and drinks, fill our days with abundant exploration of the natural beauty from waterfalls and jungle to rivers and spirituality and magic that is Bali. This will be a retreat for the mind, body and soul. We will float through this week in sheer bliss.

Find beauty, balance, and joy amidst the flux and flow of life. Spend the week floating in the lush tropical jungle, rice paddy fields, infinity pools, ancient temples, crystal clear ocean and soft white sand beaches. You will grow your yoga practice, give yourself love, self care and truly live the Bali Spirit. You will be present for yourself and come back glowing. You will return home longer, leaner, lighter and brighter. You deserve this reboot.

Our days will begin each morning with 2-3 hours of bespoke, connected and renewing yoga. A balanced blend of invigorating, sweaty vinyasa & juicy smooth, slower restorative flow. I will also teach workshop style asana breakdown for our daily asana work! It will be yoga at its deepest and most powerful.

Soulshine Bali Retreat and Resort is luxury in the jungle. Soulshine was created by Michael and Sara Franti and is dedicated to togetherness and the art of gathering people to share in the joy of wellness, music, incredible food and good vibes. Live music and DJs are on the menu everyday. Located in the heart of Bali, it is a jungle paradise - surrounded by rice terraces, ancient temples and a beautiful river that runs along the edge of the property. Soulshine is also a working organic farm that provides the freshest food daily to our restaurant.

Hinduism is the soul of Bali with over 20,000 temples in Bali. Incense burns throughout the villages as the local Balinese offer their prayers three times a day to please the Gods. The air is sweet, and perfumed by the offerings. A sense of gratitude and love envelops you. We will be staying in the thousand year old ancient rice fields, still carefully harvested today in the old traditions. Ubud is best known for it's generations of artisans. Wood and stone carvers, silversmiths, painters, batik makers, weavers, these skills and talents are passed down and carefully preserved. Dancers move gracefully as their hands and eyes tell the stories of lifetimes ago. Bali is a feast for the senses with almost daily ceremonies celebrating the cycle of life.

This will be a FULL week of buoyant yoga bliss.

At Soulshine Bali, one of our mantras is 100%...90% of the time. That means eating healthy is made easy and delicious. There are also plenty of opportunities to indulge in all the comfort foods we love. From insane juices to insane cocktails you will find exactly what you are craving. There is nothing that can replace the conversations and connection that happens over a great meal, breakfast and family style dinner is included. Guests are free to order their drinks, additional snacks and food off the a-la-carte menu through out the day. Room service is also available. Everything is prepared with your health and wellbeing in mind, catering to all dietary preferences including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free. Many of our organic ingredients and produce come from our very own organic farm.

Soulshine is surrounded by the Bali jungle, rice fields, temples and a beautiful river that runs along the edge of the property. The property has luxury amenities, infinity pool, organic gardens, open air yoga shala and the Soul Bar & Soul Kitchen serving the ultimate in organic food and beverages from juices to cocktails. It is a truly magical place where real transformation happens. Only 15 minutes from Ubud, it’s the perfect location off the beaten path, but still close to explore the amazing food, shops, and services of Ubud.

Carla is Co-Owner of Metta Yoga Studios, Lead Teacher & Retreat Leader. Transformed by life experiences (both beautiful and challenging) and the different styles of yoga that Carla has practiced and trained in over the last 25 years including, Bikram, Ashtanga, Hatha, Power, Jivamukti and Iyengar, she brings a sense of empowerment and fun, both in the physical body and energetic spirit, to every class. Through intention, vigor, strength, humor and pranayama her goal is to have every student leave class feeling longer, leaner, refreshed and renewed. Carla's style of teaching focuses on precise instruction that underscores the important relationship between alignment, breath, fluid, dynamic movement and strength building. Carla has spent the last 4 years living in Tokyo, Japan teaching daily classes, workshops and leading retreats throughout Asia. From this experience brings a deeper sense of adventure, light, and zeal to her vigorous flow. She puts an emphasis on thoughtful sequencing and pace, giving students a strong physical practice and a deeper internal connection. Her classes are physically and mentally challenging, however she always works to meet students where they are each day. She delivers each class in English and Sanskrit with an original playlists of music ranging from hip-hop, pop and deep house to jazz, Alt and Chanting. Carla incorporates demonstrations when needed and hands on adjustments. Her goal is to create a space for expression, enthusiasm, fun, sweat, reflection and renewal.

When will the retreat begin and end?

The training will begin with arrival flow (TBD depending on flights) & dinner on

Nov. 15 and end with breakfast on Nov. 22.

What is the deposit, and is it refundable?

The deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable.

Which airport should I fly into?

Bali’s airport is in Denpasar. It is about an hour from Soulshine Bali.

Which airline should it book with?

This will depend on your city of departure. We highly highly recommend booking directly with the airlines, and choosing an airline that is offering refunds or flexible changes. I will send out flight info about my flight. Hopefully most of us can get onto the same flight.

How long is the flight, and when should I plan to arrive and depart?

The length of the flight will depend on your departure city, of course. From the US, it takes about one day of travel. Most flights go through either Taipei or Singapore. Plan your flights so you arrive no later than 3 pm on Saturday, Nov. 15, 2025, if possible. You can depart on Nov. 14, 2024—flights that depart after 3 pm are ideal. Again, we highly recommend booking flights directly through the airlines. China Airlines and Singapore Airlines are among our most recommended options. If you can, we strongly encourage extending your trip on either end (or both :). Again, I will send out flight info to connect us.

How do I get to and from the airport?

We will work with Soulshine Bali to coordinate transportation to and from the airport for those arriving on Nov.15 and departing Nov. 22.

If you arrive early (or depart late), most guest houses, Airbnb's and hotels can help you book airport transfer to or from your lodging.

Do I need a visa?

Many countries qualify for Visa on arrival.

How do I exchange my money?

Currency exchange services are very easy to find in Bali. These are recommended over ATM's due to ATM fraud, so we recommend bringing cash for rides and incidentals.

Todos was a great trip! The retreat center was beautiful, clean and very comfortable. I can’t say enough about the delicious food. We had 3 fresh meals a day that were fresh, healthy and different. The staff there was very helpful and friendly. All of the executions and activities were so fun. My favorite was swimming with the sea lions! Above all, the yoga classes/workshops were top notch and a the yogi's on the retreat were the best! I certainly want to go again! Thank you Carla!

This was the most wonderful yoga retreat. There were ~20 of us and we had the option to join meditation each morning, attend 2 yoga classes/day, eat wonderful, fresh food for meals and join excursions with the group. It was incredibly relaxing and everyone was warm and welcoming. I highly recommend joining a retreat with Metta Yoga if you are considering one.

This was my first yoga retreat and I didn't know the studio or people that would be joining so there were a lot of unknowns. I'm happy to share that this was a life changing experience. The yoga teachers were amazing, we had two leaders and they complemented each other very nicely. The group was also great, such a nice and supportive group of women. This retreat gave me a chance to self-reflect and practice self-care that had been lacking in my life. I highly recommend this yoga studio and look forward to another retreat with this team.

This was a fantastic trip led and organized by Carla! I would do it again in a heartbeat. Lumeria is a beautiful location for hosting a yoga retreat: lush, comfortable, relaxing, and some of the best vegetarian-option meals I've ever had. But really, Carla's leadership and planning is what really made this trip special. The yoga was as juicy and fulfilling as the papaya and pineapple. The day trips--beaches, rainforest hiking, waterfall cliff jumping and pool swimming, SUP with whales--were a celebration of the natural beauty of Maui. Can't wait to go again!
