Deposit and Final Payments:
- A 10% deposit is required upon booking, of which $250 is non-refundable.
- Full payment is due 90 days prior to departure.
Cancellation by the Customer:
- More than 121 days prior to departure: If written notice of cancellation is received more than 121 days before the tour departure date, you will receive a full refund, excluding the $250 non-refundable deposit.
- Between 91 and 120 days prior to departure: Cancellations made within this period will result in the loss of the entire 10% deposit.
- Less than 90 days prior to departure: No refunds will be issued if cancellation occurs within 90 days of the tour departure date, as the booking becomes 100% non-refundable at this point.
Cancellation by Us:
- In the unlikely event that I cancel a tour due to not meeting minimum numbers or other reasons beyond your control, you will receive a full refund of all amounts paid, including the non-refundable deposit.
Cancellation Process:
- All cancellation notices must be submitted to me in writing to hello@turquoisetravel.com.au.
- Refunds will be processed within 10 business days of receiving the written cancellation notice into your nominated account.
Travel Insurance:
- We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance to cover unforeseen circumstances that might prevent you from attending, such as illness or emergencies. This can help protect you from losing your payment, if you're unable to go at the last minute.
- If you have purchased travel insurance you will need to speak to your insurer direct to discuss their terms and conditions as I am not legally authorised to discuss or provide advice under the .

Sun City, often referred to as South Africa’s “Kingdom of Pleasure,” is a luxury resort nestled in the North West Province, known for its dazzling combination of adventure, relaxation, and entertainment. Surrounded by the Pilanesberg National Park, Sun City offers a unique escape where you can expect world-class casinos, a cultural village, top-tier golf courses, and even a water park at the famous Valley of Waves. Why not book a day trip!
You will be collected from the Lodge at around 4:00 am (to be confirmed) and transferred to the launch site in the Pilanesburg National Park. The transfers are conducted in a 25-seater Open Safari vehicle. At the launch site you will be give a safety briefing and then proceed with the 45 minute-1 hour flight. Upon landing, you will then celebrate with champagne or juice for those who don't want alcohol so early in the morning. You will then be transferred back to the Lodge while enjoying a game drive to have breakfast. The estimate duration for the whole activity is +/- 5 hours.
Note: the Balloon Safari takes place every morning depending on the weather and number of passengers. A minimum of 4 passengers is required to conduct the flight. Should the flight need to be cancelled due to weather or numbers you will receive a full refund.

As you embark on your journey to the Pilanesberg Game Reserve, approximately two hours away, you’ll traverse the scenic beauty of the North West Province, with lush rolling hills and sprawling grasslands flanking your route. This drive offers glimpses into everyday South African life, with colorful markets and traditional homesteads dotting the landscape. The anticipation builds as you approach the reserve, where the call of the wild beckons!
Pilanesberg, situated within an ancient volcanic crater, is home to an impressive array of wildlife, including the Big Five—lions, elephants, leopards, buffalos, and rhinoceros. As you enter this magnificent ecosystem, prepare to be mesmerized by the sight of elephants bathing in mud puddles, herds of wildebeest grazing peacefully, and the thrilling possibility of spotting a stealthy leopard lounging in a tree. Upon arrival you will check into your lush accommodation followed by an afternoon game drive. Once back from your game drive we will enjoy Boma, a dinner under the stars to welcome us to South Africa.
