About this trip
This bucket-list adventure begins in Cape Town, South Africa with 3 full days of experiencing all of the must-see attractions, including swimming with the penguins, climbing Lion's Head, taking the cable car to the top of Table Mountain, visiting wineries, and so much more!
Then we will fly to the Greater Kruger National Park to stay in luxury lodges for 4 nights in the Timbivati Private Game Reserve where we will be treated like queens and see the Big 5 plus so much more! Keep scrolling to find the itinerary which includes all the details!
This trip is limited to 8 Chicas (women-only adventure), so don't delay! We are happy to set up a custom payment plan that works for your budget!

Activity Level - Moderate
We will be doing two moderate-level hikes (2-3 miles each) in the Cape Town area. Guests should be in good physical health to fully enjoy this experience. These hikes are not mandatory and you can choose to opt out of them.

Weather
Weather in South Africa and Zimbabwe in March-April is spectacular. This is their Fall season where rainfall decreases and the weather is cool and pleasant. The nights average 65 degrees F and the days average 86 degrees F. Perfect weather for exploring these beautiful countries and enjoying all of the outdoor activities!
Money and Tipping
All the excursions listed in the itinerary are included. Bring cash/credit cards for purchasing souvenirs, additional snacks/meals, alcoholic drinks, extra activities, and other items. You can either order South African Rands from your bank at home or use an ATM on arrival in Cape Town to get some cash. Exchanging USD to Rands at the airport or at a bank in Cape Town is not always easy and doesn't give the best exchange rates.
For those of you going to Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe uses the US dollar as their currency, so no need to exchange. It's advisable to bring small bills ($1, $5, $10) as the shopkeepers don't often have change.
All gratuities are included with the exception of those for your Chicas Abroad tour leader. Tipping the Chicas Abroad tour leader is optional and not included in the price of your adventure.

● The Chicas Abroad Tour Leader(s) works hard to ensure a seamless adventure for you and tips are optional, but customary.
● If you have more than one tour leader on your adventure, gratuities may be given to one tour leader and the team will divide the tips.

What’s not included
- International FlightsBook your flights to arrive in Cape Town by March 29 (arrive anytime this day) and depart Cape Town on April 6 after 7:00pm or April 9 after 7:00pm (if you are doing the Victoria Falls add-on)
- Travel InsuranceTravel insurance is highly recommend to cover any unforeseen events. Chicas Abroad will provide you with a link to our recommended carrier upon booking, but you may choose any carrier.
- Alcoholic DrinksAlcoholic drinks are at your own expense, with the exception of the included beer/wine at the Kruger safari camp.
- Tour Leader TipsYour Chicas Abroad tour leader works countless hours before and during the trip to ensure a seamless experience so you can adventure more and worry less! $30-40 per day is typical and much appreciated
- Personal PurchaseSouvenirs and other personal purchases are not included.

All rooms are double-occupancy (with 2 beds). If you are traveling solo, we will pair you with another Chica.
A $1000 non-refundable deposit due at booking. The remainder is due in 2 monthly payments of $2100 (Dec-Jan). Ask us about a modified payment plan to fit your budget; we are happy to make any accommodations as long as it's paid in full by January 29, 2025.

Itinerary
Plan to arrive in Cape Town at any time on March 29th. Airport transfers from the CPT airport to our Cape Town villa are provided. The official trip begins on the morning of March 30th.
Note: If you'd like to arrive a day early (March 28), accommodations will be provided (for an additional fee).
