I'm Sandy and I'm so happy you have landed here! If someone had told me 10 years ago, that I would be travelling the world, location independant and living my best life, I would have not believed them! I have travelled to over 50 countries, the majority of them as a solo traveler and although I am far from being a nomad, I am however addicted to travel and seeing the world one rock at a time. I believe in sharing what I have learned and inspiring others to see the world on their own terms.

Unforgettable experience. Tours were amazing and personalized! Sandy coordinates with impeccable tastes and style. There is no group tour curated with this kind of care!

We had a great time on the Kenya & Tanzania trip with Sandy's Suitcase. Good food, wonderful people, enjoyable activities & luxurious accommodations. I will definitely book again.

This was my third trip with the Suitcase Squad — and by far the most emotionally complex. It was one of those trips where everything that could go wrong, did — and I had to make the conscious decision to have an amazing time anyway. As always, Sandy handled the planning and logistics beautifully: thoughtful restaurant selections, incredible guides, well-curated experiences. But even with the best-laid plans, life happens. Many of the women flew in via different airlines, and several of our bags were delayed. My luggage? Gone. Vanished into thin air. So imagine this: two weeks on an African safari with no luggage. No planned safari outfits, no boots, no hat — there went my entire Shein/Amazon haul. Sandy stepped in right away, arranging stops at local stores, and it was during a visit to a native African dress shop that I decided, “Why not go full glam on safari?” The gods must’ve agreed, because next thing I know, Sandy has organized a full photo shoot in Nairobi National Park. There we were — standing in our beautiful African gowns, flanked by zebras, rhinos, and giraffes. You can’t plan that kind of magic. Then we flew to the Maasai Mara for the Great Migration. I spent two unforgettable nights in a luxe tent on the river — hippos mooing just outside. The first night I thought, “What have I gotten myself into?” But by the third morning, I was sad to leave them. Their presence had become oddly comforting. The food throughout the trip was exceptional, and as a chef, I was especially impressed when a personalized cooking class was orchestrated with the Saroi Safari Lodge Chef and his team, who taught me how to prepare a traditional Kenyan dish. Next, The Ycona Resort was a peaceful respite after seven days of city life and safari — a perfect place to exhale. And then, just when I thought the chaos had ended, I missed my return flight. (Of course I did.) But those unexpected extra two days in London turned out to be a gift — shopping, lunch in Chinatown, a Broadway play, and the kind of deep, glorious sleep that only comes when you're truly content. As I sit here in the airport reflecting on the past two weeks, I’m reminded that this trip was a metaphor for life. It’s easy to thrive when everything goes according to plan. But the true magic is how you move through the mess — and the Suitcase Squad moved with grace, humor, and style. If you can take a group of women stripped of luggage, makeup, and toiletries — and turn it into a full-blown editorial moment — you’ll always have me as a loyal traveler. A Trip of a Lifetime! I honestly didn’t think visiting South Africa and going on a safari would be such a big deal—oh, how wrong I was! This was hands-down the best trip I have ever been on, and I can barely put into words how incredible the experience was. From the seamless planning to the flawless execution, everything about this trip was spectacular. The hotels were absolutely gorgeous, the restaurants were nothing short of amazing, and every detail was handled with such care that all I had to do was show up and enjoy. The safari? Pure magic. Seeing the breathtaking landscapes and wildlife up close left me in awe. It’s something you truly have to experience to understand—it exceeded all my expectations. Before the trip was even over, I had already booked my spot for another trip next year! Yes, it was that good. Sandy made the entire process effortless, and I am so thankful to her for curating such a perfect journey. From now on, she will be my go-to for all my major trips. What made the trip even more special were the amazing women I met along the way. The bonds and friendships we formed were truly inspiring. Talk about women empowering women! I felt so supported, uplifted, and connected—it was as much about personal growth as it was about adventure. If you’re even thinking about signing up for one of these trips, stop hesitating and just do it. Trust me, you will not regret it. I cannot wait to see what next year’s adventure holds!

If you want a well planned, emersive travel experience that you don't have to plan yourself Sandy's suitcase & her team are an excellent choice for a travel group experience. I've traveled on multiple trips with Sandy, and each one was fun, & well organized with a luxury experience that I couldn't have planned better myself.
