Itinerary

Day 1
13th October - Cape Town

Your African metropolis awaits! With Table Mountain as a breathtaking backdrop, Cape Town is considered one of the world’s most beautiful cities. With its friendly people and rich history, Cape Town will enchant you, from the brightly colored facades of Bo-Kaap streets and colorful beach cottage in Muizenberg to the contemporary, African-inspired decor of the many excellent guesthouses, restaurants and bars. Discover pure wilderness on the west coast: whale watching in Hermanus, the Cape of Good Hope, penguins in Simon’s Town, and the indulgent wine region. From October to March, enjoy the wild, beautiful beaches where a hot day is not too different from Copacabana or Ipanema in Brazil!

Today we’ll arrive in Cape Town and be transferred to our hotel. We can celebrate the week to come at dinner and get to know each other over some delicious food.

Included: Airport Transfer, Welcome Dinner

The Greek Islands deserve 5 stars all by themselves. Although there were many aspects of the trip the fell well below that. Main issue the host and the organizer are two different people. Megan, the host, never knew what was going on and had to communicate with Rachel about everything. Megan was not familiar with the hotels or restaurants. She even posted a picture of a fishing village with the caption, "Been dreaming of visiting here for a while." Lots of exploring on your own. I need someone who knows the area a little more or has more involvement with the planning. Host never smiled. Like ever! Was very hard to open up and talk to. There was a clear divide in the very large group. Way too many people in a group. With a group that size maybe 2 host would be better. Hotels were just uhhh. Bland. Cheap. Way too many free days. Although listed in the orginal literary it was far too much time with nothing planned. Requires you to plan and pay for your own activities or hope you've hit it off enough with people in your group to be included on their plans. At the end of the trip there is a ferry to take you back to Athens before flying home. Purchase a flight. It's a long uncomfortable ferry. Maybe in the future a flight will be standard in the group trip. It's less than $100 and the fairwell dinner could actually be done on the last night. More time could be enjoying what Greece has to offer instead of being on a ferry for hours. If you have low expectations and don't mind the price tag that doesn't add up- go for it. Take a friend you already know so you have someone just in case anything, and it may, happens. I would consider another trip with Adventuring For Life but the host must be different, itinerary needs to include more paid for activities and group needs to be smaller.

This trip was my first girls trip and won't be my last. Croatia is absolutely beautiful and I loved getting to see different parts of the country with the different stops we made. The ATV adventure, the cave swimming, the authentic food...I can't decide what my favorite part was. Rachel and MacKenzie made the trip incredible.

This was my first trip with Rachel and I had the best time! Everything about the trip was well thought out, the girls were amazing and it was incredible to experience Switzerland this way. I'm so excited to join another trip with Rachel soon!

This trip was a trip of a lifetime! Italy was my top bucket list place and was so excited to try out Adventuring For Life for the first time with this trip. Lex did a great job as the host and it was a great way to meet new people and create amazing memories. Any time that there was a hiccup with transportation or plans, Lex was able to communicate with Rachel to find quick solutions to make the trip go as smoothly as possible for us. I would totally do another trip with this company again!

This is my second trip with Adventuring For Life and unlike my first trip, which I absolutely loved, this one fell short for me. I sadly won’t be booking another trip with AFL after this one. I won’t go into all the specifics because there’s a lot of examples, but as a whole, this trip was disorganized and chaotic the whole time. It felt as if the host was “over it” halfway through, and she would get annoyed when being asked simple questions on things that should have already been answered. Heat definitely played a factor. The temps reached almost 100 degrees every day and we were walking 15-20K steps a day. It was a bad time of year to put this trip. We also had long travel days that should have been more thought out on the front end. Traveling 4 hours each way to/from Cinque Terre, 8 hours travel in one day, is just too much. The itinerary felt messy for various reasons and never actually going into places promised on the itinerary(Cathedral closed on Sundays or Just never actually visiting sites mentioned on the itinerary). In chatting with some of the other ladies at the completion of the trip, we all felt the same way in that we were so stressed throughout and we felt like we survived the week instead of enjoyed it. At the end of the day, the value just isn’t there for how much AFL charges for these trips. The one positive is that I enjoy the people that AFL attracts, but unfortunately that’s really their best selling point. I’ll definitely be looking at other companies in the future because AFL has lost all its magic in my eyes after this one.

I have traveled on 4 trips with adventuring for life and have a 5th planned. I have met some of my closest friends from this group and have experienced several once in a lifetime opportunities. Trips are highly thought out and there is always free time to plan out your own adventure should that be on your own or with new friends. I love this group and highly recommend you experience it!

I have now been on four trips with Rachel and can say that I have enjoyed every single one of them! From Italy in 2022 to Spain, Portugal, and Egypt in 2023 to India in 2024, every trip has been well organized and a blast! As a teacher, I don’t enjoy planning on my off time. These trips have made my dreams of traveling abroad and experiencing everything the world has to offer more attainable than I could ever have imagined. One of my favorite things about booking with Adventuring For Life is getting to meet so many like-minded adventurous girls (and guys!). I’m looking forward to my next trip to Croatia and to future trips with A4L!
