Join us for a ladies trip to sunny Southern California to taste the delicious wines of Temecula while staying in a beautiful, Spanish-style villa that's 7000 square feet and has all the luxuries you'd expect for a girls wine trip. We will be tasting wine (of course), but also adding in some Chicas Abroad adventure activities with a sunrise hot air balloon ride and a whale watching excursion off the coast of San Diego!

We will be walking through the vineyards to enjoy wine-tasting, but that's it. This is a very relaxing adventure with minimal physical activity. Although, there will be ample opportunity to walk around the beautiful grounds and surrounding areas of our villa in the hills of Temecula wine country.

The weather in Temecula in March is mildly cool with a gentle breeze, with average highs of 69°F (20°C) and lows of 47°F (8°C). A perfect time for escaping reality and enjoying fine wine in a beautiful location!

All the excursions listed in the itinerary are included. Bring cash/credit cards for purchasing souvenirs, additional snacks/meals, alcoholic drinks, extra activities, and other items.All gratuities are included with the exception of those for your Chicas Abroad tour leader. Tipping the Chicas Abroad tour leader is optional and not included in the price of your adventure.

Chicas Abroad Tour Leader Tips

● The Chicas Abroad Tour Leader(s) works hard to ensure a seamless adventure for you and tips are optional, but customary.

● If you have more than one tour leader on your adventure, gratuities may be given to one tour leader and the team will divide the tips.

● Typical tips $30-40/day

A custom packing list will be emailed out a few months prior to departure.

Lodging
3 nights in a private villa in Temecula Wine Country; combination of private bedrooms and shared bedrooms; bedroom assignments will be done by lottery; you may guarantee a single room for an add'l fee
Ground Transportation
Trip will begin and end in San Diego, CA; all transportation between leaving the airport and arriving back at the airport is included.
Meals
All meals included (2 breakfasts, 1 brunch, 2 lunches, and 3 dinners, snacks). Combination of eating in restaurants and meals made by your tour leader.

Visits to multiple wineries with 4 wine-tasting fees included; hot air balloon ride; whale watching tour

Travel insurance is highly recommend to cover any unforeseen events. Chicas Abroad will provide you with a link to our recommended carrier upon booking, but you may choose any carrier.

A $500 non-refundable deposit is due at booking, with 2 additional payments of $625 due in December and January. Please contact us if you'd like a custom payment plan set up.

Plan to arrive at the San Diego Airport by 3:00pm on March 6th and your amazing Chicas Abroad guide will pick you up in the honorary Chicas van and transport you to our beautiful villa in Temecula. Here we will be having a scrumptious welcome dinner followed by a relaxing and restful evening to charge up for the exciting weekend we have ahead!

March 7 - Sunrise hot air balloon ride and wine-tasting
We will be rising early, grabbing coffee, and heading to our first activity... a sunrise hot air balloon ride where we will view the stunning wine country from above. After our balloon ride, we will enjoy brunch before beginning our wine-tasting for the day.

The plan is to visit at least two wineries today, but may hit up another one if time and energy allow.

There will be some time to enjoy some shopping in Old Town Temecula and enjoy a group dinner before returning to our villa for the evening.

Today we will have a slower start with a relaxing morning at the villa. We will go at at least 2 more wineries today and more if the group is feeling up to it and spend a little more time in the charming Old Town Temecula. We will finish out our day with dinner at a local restaurant.

March 9 - Whale-watching in San Diego and departure
In the morning we will pack up early and head to San Diego for a whale-watching adventure in search of the gray whales that are migrating through during this time of year. We might even be lucky enough to spot orcas!

Our whale-watching tour will finish up around 1:00 and then we will make our way to the San Diego airport. Plan your departures for 4:00pm or after.

I had an amazing time on our Sedona trip! The first day of hiking was moderate yet challenging for me in some areas. I sometimes feel that I have to accept the fact that I am aging and can’t do what I once was able to do. But I truly felt accomplished and have a renewed sense of achievement and want to do more hiking with the Chicas! The tour we took to Antelope Canyon and the beauty of our surroundings was indescribable! I really enjoyed getting to know our guide Jocelyn! I am beyond thankful for The Chicas Abroad Group! Through Melanie and many of the Chicas, I am learning to become an OVERCOMER!

Sedona was a wonderful adventure with family, past Chicas, and new Chicas. It is a blessing to show up and have Melanie, the leader, get us to where we are to go; pay for the meals etc. I am 68 and not a fast hiker, however, the group was patient with me and always had my back, along with encouraging words. If I had to say no to a particular section of the hike where the group could meet me on the return that was completely acceptable. Memories were formed that are eternal: so worth the expense and time. God Bless

I thoroughly enjoyed the Chicas Abroad hiking trip to Sedona. When they say that they take care of all the details, they mean it. All you have to do is register and show up! It is a worry free adventure where both introverts and extroverts are welcome. The food was delicious and the company even better! The hiking, scenery, and day trip to antelope canyon were memorable experiences. I can’t wait to sign up for my next adventure with Chicas Abroad!
