About this trip

Service-based Manaslu Circuit Trekking, with Trekking Trail Nepal.

 

ITINERARY:

Day 01/13.04: Start from Kathmandu to Machhakhola, and trek to Dobhan.

Day 02/14.04: Dobhan-Philim.

Day 03/15.04: Philim-Deng.

Day 04/16.04: Deng-Namrung.

Day 05/17.04: Namrung-Hinang gompa.

Day 06/18.04: Radial trek to BC Himachali, Then go to Lho.

Day 07/19.04: Lho-Samagaon.

Day 08/20.04: Radial trek to Birendra Lake or Manaslu Base Camp (optional).

Day 09/21.04: Radial to Pungen Gompa then goes to Samdo.

Day 10/22.04: Samdo-Dharmasala.

Day 11/23.04: Larkya La pass, Night in the Bimtang.

Day 12/24.04: Radial to Ponkar Lake, Then go to Surki Khola.

Day 13/25.04: Surki-Darapani, local Jeep Drive to Besisahar.

Day 14/26.04: Jeep or Luxury Private Car drive to Kathmandu.


Cost Includes:

·  Complete arrangement of the necessary Special Trekking Permits for the Manaslu trekking.
·  Well–trained, well–experienced, English–speaking Trekking Guide.

·  Porter as a supporter to carry the luggage (1 porter per 2 clients, weight per porter max. 24 kg).

·  Oximeter* and First Aid medicine kit carried by the trekking guide.

·  Achievement CERTIFICATE and Farewell dinner (focusing mainly on Nepalese cuisine) at a Typical Nepali restaurant at the end of the Trip.

·  Private luxury Jeep to Machha Khola and private Car drive from Besisahar to Kathmandu.

·  Private Local Jeep from Dharapani to Besishar.

·  Government taxes, service charges, and official expenses.

“Oximeter to check your pulse and oxygen saturation and heart rate twice daily (Very useful to check Altitude Mountain Sickness (AMS) symptoms) Which will ensure your trek is in the safest hands possible for all levels of trekker”.

Cost Excludes:

· In any case of natural calamities, mishaps, or anything beyond our control.

·  All costs incurred during the trekking due to personal choice trek and wanting to return from the trek earlier than the Scheduled itinerary, the costs are not refundable and transferable.

·  Accommodations and Meals for the entire trip.

·  Your Trekking and medical insurance (compulsory).

·  All the alcoholic and non-alcoholic hot and cold drinks.

·  Laundry, telephone, and personal trekking equipment.

·  Hot shower and battery charging on the tea houses on Manaslu Trekking.

The Manaslu circuit was spectacular, challenging trekking and with basic amenities but our guide and porter were good company. We had intended to trek the Annapurna circuit as a continuation of the Manaslu trip but we were over ambitious. However Trekking Trails were accommodating and very helpful in adjusting our itinerary to Pokhara and on to Chitwan.

Trekking Trails have been really great from beginning to end! From planning our trip, Appar answered all our questions promptly and communicated clearly. They advised on our itinerary and were flexible, accommodating and helpful throughout. We were warmly met on arrival in Kathmandu, provided with excellent guides and drivers. We were supported and assisted when we changed our travel plans and needed additional hotel bookings and internal flights. Mahdav was absolutely marvelous. Our Mountain guide Hari was patient, good natured and knowledgeable on the mountain routes. He and our Porter Shiva, did their best to look after us on the trail. The Himalayas are stunning, the people are so kind. The Manaslu route was tough, but with the most outstanding scenery and fascinating culture. I highly recommend this route. Trekking Trails made the trip really joyous and so memorable! Thank you!

Over the five days ABC Trek, we oversee snowy mountains, encountering breathtaking scenery with thousands of peaks shrouded in deep clouds. In the wilderness, we faced the wind and endless clouds, basking in the unfettered sunshine and the promise of growth. Thanks to Trekking Trail for giving us a wonderful time. Our tour guide, Lokendra, was amazing and very helpful, providing lots of care and love. The porters Jayendra and Bikash were very friendly and supportive, doing an excellent job. Without their guidance throughout the journey, we wouldn’t have had such a wonderful experience.

Excellent. Highly recommended. I have just completed the most perfect trek (Manaslu Circuit) with Green Valley Trek. From head office to feet on the ground support I could not have had a more pleasant experience. At the office, Raj was prompt and reassuring in responding to my email queries prior to me coming over to Nepal and proved to be extremely nice and helpful in person when meeting face to face. Friendly and polite Green Valley Trek personnel met me at the airport and took me to the very comfortable pre-booked Suriya Heritage Hotel in Thamel that was included as part of the package (superb views over Katmandu from the roof terrace). I then had a couple of meetings with Raj in the office, only a few buildings further down the lane from the hotel. The day before the trek we had a pre-trek meeting with Raj, the guide Chhiri and other trekkers and then next morning the guide met us with vehicle to take us to the bus station. From here on in Chhiri looked after our every need until the end of the trek. Guiding, regulating the pace and drink / meal stops, booking into the lodges, ordering and serving the meals, and in my case, helping in carrying a few items that helped lighten my load sufficiently for me to enjoy and complete the trek. When the going got tough and I slowed down Chhiri was there by my side keeping me company and ensuring I didn’t fall too far behind the rest of the group. Very much appreciated. Every day of the trek was a real adventure and something special. A trek of a lifetime! On my return to Katmandu Raj took me and other returning trekkers out for a lovely meal and we were each presented with a certificate to commemorate the completion of the trek. A very nice and thoughtful touch characteristic of the Green Valley Trek operation. When it was time to go home I was picked up at my hotel by the same Green Valley Trek personnel who had picked me up when I arrived in Nepal to go to the airport to catch my plane home. Green Valley Trek had looked after me from start to finish to ensure the most pleasant Nepal experience. It will come as no surprise when I say that I am so pleased that I booked my trek with Green Valley Trek. They gave me an experience I will never forget. I can thoroughly recommend.

we recently returned from a wonderful trip to Gokyo Ri. Our experience with Nepal Trekking Insurance was poor - really non-existent. Why bother with this insurance - please read our experience below. One of our team of 5 was evacuated due to altitude sickness. from Dole I cannot fault the response that our guide arranged - the evacuation helicopter arrived within 2 hours of notification of the health issue. What was pathetic was the insurance company denying the claim for the flight as it had not been "pre-approved even in case of life-threatening emergency requirements". We had no phone signal and our mate clearly showed the symptoms of altitude sickness including mental confusion, and not having slept overnight - how exactly was pre-approval possible without phone signal and his mental state?? He was charged $3500 for the flight back to Kathmandu, even though there were 2 others on the flight from Dole to Lukla, and then 3 others on Lukla to Kathmandu. Looks like he is being charged for the entire flight/s. For reference the remaining four of use were charged $550 each for the flight from Lukla to Kathmandu. There is something wrong with this experience - my suggestion is that this insurance is not worth it

Dear Justin Thank you for sharing your feedback, and I'm glad to hear that your trip to Gokyo Ri was mostly enjoyable despite the challenges. We are very sorry to hear about your experience with the insurance coverage declined by the Insurance company. 
 To ensure the proper use of insurance and claims, almost all insurance needs to be pre-approved to minimize the scams and frauds in Nepal's Himalayas trekking. 
If there is no internet/phone connection available how does your guide call the helicopter? ( he can call the Nepal Team or Global Support Team ). Even there is no update about the situation from Lukla.
If he pays $ 3500 for the flight back to Kathmandu with 2 others and 3 others from Lukla, It is a scam.
4 of you pay $$$ is not connected with us. We understand the process of rescue in an emergency is time-consuming and frustrating it must have been to deal with this situation, especially during a mountain trekking. Please be assured that we take such feedback seriously and will communicate your concerns with the Nepal Insurance Team.
