About this trip

 

🌸 Spring has sprung, and we're counting on YOU to make it bloom even brighter! Let's dig in and unearth the hidden treasures of our property with a little elbow grease. 


Join us for a weekend of outdoor volunteering as we dive into spring cleaning tasks amidst the beauty of Durward's Glen. From clearing trails to painting railings, planting flowers, and weeding, there's plenty to do and endless memories to make.


🌲 Check in at Durward’s Glen on Friday to kick off the adventure! Then, roll up your sleeves on Saturday for a day of giving back, followed by a hearty supper lovingly provided by Durward’s Glen. Afterward, the time is yours to explore, relax, and connect under the stars.


Friday

3:00 pm - 8:00 pm: Arrival & Check-in. No scheduled activities or meetings. Settle into your rustic retreat accommodations and rest up for Saturday's work.

 

Saturday

Rise and shine to a day of purpose!

9:00 am: Volunteer Meeting & Project Overview 

9:00 am - 12:00 pm: Dive into volunteer work, from landscaping to photography projects. 

12:00 pm - 1:30 pm: Simple sandwiches, chips and beverages provided in the main hall provided by Durward's Glen

1:30 pm - 5:30 pm: Resume your outdoor projects and let your passion blossom.

6:30 pm: Grilling & good times! Hot dogs and brats provided by Durward’s Glen.


Then, the evening is yours to savor. Enjoy the campfire, play corn hole, hike the trails, read a book next to the creek, catch up with an old friend or make a new one!


Sunday 

Enjoy a leisurely morning, breakfast is on your own. Feel free to stay for Corpus Christi Mass! Check out by 11:00 am and depart full of gratitude and a profound sense of fulfillment. 


Through dedication and hard work, you'll leave a lasting impact on our beloved retreat center but also contribute to the greater good of our community and the preservation of nature! 

Meals

Saturday lunch & supper are provided by Durward's Glen, everything else is on your own!


Embrace the comforts of home with access to our fully equipped kitchen where you can whip up your own meals or venture out to local restaurants,  the choice is yours.


Let us know if you have a specific food allergy or dietary restriction.

The weekend was well planned. The choices for activities were great. Stephen was a fantastic guide. The food was excellent. It was really nice that it wasn't too crowded. My only thought would be, better kleenex would be nice. Overall, it was a fantastic experience!
