Welcome the equinox with us at Epworth by the Sea, idyllically situated on the Frederica River on St. Simons Island, Georgia, surrounded by ancient Live Oaks draped in Spanish moss. Enjoy this serene location as you unwind and take in the beauty of island life. St. Simons is a barrier island off the Georgia coast, known for its salt marshes and sandy stretches of unspoiled beaches.
The end of winter can sometimes feel a little unsettling. The energy shifting from an inward-focus to outwardly-focused can make you feel a bit off-kilter. The dawning of Spring is a time for Implementing changes required in order to grow & flourish. At the Spring Equinox, the Earth returns to a place of perfect balance. Day & night are equal, the light & the dark––bringing the return of some much-needed balance into your own life. With the Spring Equinox your spirit is waking up with new ideas & new dreams for your life, providing fresh, warm energy with the power to make you feel alive & inspired.
We will gather to practice a range of Yoga including asana (postures), pranayama (breath techniques), Yoga Nidra, meditation (including sunrise beach meditation), bicycle exploration and more. You will emerge feeling fresh, energetic, light, clear and in body and mind.
Spring is a time to celebrate change. After 5 retreats in the Gainesville, FL forest, we are shifting this season's retreat to a waterfront conference center location at the beautiful Epworth by the Sea.
All activities and classes are included yet optional. Itinerary subject to change.
