1. It is highly recommended to bring a portable phone or electronics charger for your tour with Tomblin's Tours. We cannot guarantee outlets or Wi-Fi will be operational on our motor coach, so it's best to come prepared with an alternative charging source and data. Charging ports in the city are also limited, so having a charger with you is essential.
2. In case of unexpected circumstances like bad weather, impassable roads, or bus issues, it is advisable to pack an extra set of clothes, toiletries, and enough money or a card for accommodation and meals. If an additional night stay is required, you will be responsible for covering all additional expenses.
3. Remember to bring all necessary medications for your trip.
4. Don't forget to pack some snacks for your enjoyment. You may also bring A small 6-pack cooler to be placed at your feet during the journey for drinks if you desire. We provide bottled water.
5. Showers are not guaranteed at any of our clothes change locations. Please be prepared with quick-change items such as disposable washcloths, dry shampoo, toothbrushes, face wipes, etc.
6. If you tend to feel cold, consider bringing an extra heavy quilt or two blankets for the bus ride. We keep the bus cool (67-68 Degrees) to help with motion sickness and hot flashes during transit. The temperature will not be adjusted.
7. Bring a travel/neck pillow and a cushion to sit on or place behind your back for added comfort. Headphones, earplugs & sleep masks are recommended to ensure you can get much-needed rest on the bus. With everyone's varied schedules, someone near you may be scrolling their phone while you're trying to sleep. Also, please remember that sleeping on the bus won't be as comfortable as your bed at home, so be realistic about your expectations and enjoy the ride.
8. Bring a small tote bag for your belongings that you need to keep with you on the bus. Overhead space is limited, so it's important to have a compact bag. Each guest is allowed 1 larger bag, that must be stored under the bus, and it should have a luggage tag attached. The tag should clearly state your name and cell phone number. All bags, regardless of size, must have a luggage tag. You can access your bags at rest areas, truck stops, and other designated areas. Please remember this requirement.
9. Be sure to check with forecast A few days before your tour departure & pack accordingly. For rainy days umbrellas, rain boots, rain jackets, etc & on those snowy days a warm jacket, toboggan, and multi-layers of clothing along with hand & foot warmers are A blessing.
10. You’re welcome to leave pillows, blankets, etc in your seat during your time away from the bus. We Do Not, However, recommend leaving any electronics. Tomblin’s Tours & GoldShield Travel will not be held responsible if you choose to leave those items on the bus, items lost during travel, or items you forget on the bus when departing for home.
