Activities:

Summertime in Interlaken is truly a dream with lots of activities for our outdoor lovers such as biking, hiking, boating, kayaking, and even paragliding and skydiving for our true adrenaline junkies! All activities are opt-in and you will have free time to enjoy leisure on your own.

Stay:

Our lakeside hotel looks onto views of both the beautiful mountains and famed-teal waters of town. Rooms are a mix of private and shared suites and meals are included. The site is near shops, restaurants, and adventure sports to choose from. Hotel amenities include spa, sauna, pool, gym, fast-speed wifi and more.

On this day we will collaborate during interactive workshops to apply some of the foundational knowledge that we picked up to make meaning in our present day context. After lunch we will explore the town in a group trip and enjoy a scrumptious team dinner.

On this day we will use our radical imagination to engage in Futurist Thinking strategies that guide us in designing business solutions for a more equitable tomorrow. And for a bit of service-learning we will spend time with a local organization to support their altruistic efforts and gain insights to use as a case study.

Thursday
Today is the day where we flip-the-script and the students become the teachers! Breakout groups will rotate to become the facilitators and demonstrate the skills they've learned throughout the week. Each group will lead the cohort in finding a solution for the problems of the case study. In the afternoon we will attend a team excursion immersed in the invigorating environment that is Interlaken.

It's Fri-Yay! We like to call this the choose your own adventure day. This is the day you get to go and explore all of what Interlaken has to offer on your own time. Enjoy some delicious Swiss chesses and chocolates, take a 3 hour bike ride, or strap a parachute on for an epic paragliding experience. This is a great day to catch up on your personal leisure or make some new memories with a friend.

Get ready for a fun-filled day of adventure as our group explores some breath-taking sights and attractions. Expect to be outside all day through dinner. If the stars are in alignment, we may even journey to some neighboring towns.

Did you know that Switzerland has 5 official languages!? Romansh, German, Swiss Standard German, French, and Italian. In honor of this multi-linguistic region, we call this our Ciao Day because it is both a goodbye and a hello. We will close out our trip with a morning gathering where we reflect on all we've experienced over the past week together before everyone departs. This is not the end however, it is the beginning of a new bonded community and your journeying to make a difference in the world with your new skills.

All participants who completed the retreat will receive a certificate of completion to apply towards their next career goals.
