According to the yogic perspective, a human body is broken into five layers, known in Sanskrit as Koshas. The body that we see and use in most yoga practices is called the Annamaya Kosha, the physical body, which consists of bones, muscles, nerves, organs, fluids, etc. etc. Basically, anything that is tangible, which can be seen and touched, operates on this level. A good 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training teaches the yoga poses using this focus to keep the students safe as the new teacher develops his/her skill in seeing their students. Yet, there is so much more to yoga than excercise, and that information is rarely available for students and teachers.
In the Tantra Flow Yoga™ 300 Hour Teacher Training, the new and/or experienced teacher will now learn about the layers underneath the physical layer. When one practices and teaches using knowledge and tools addressing these deeper layers, then the yoga practice becomes a richer, more fulfilling experience for the teacher and the student. The practice can now become transformational.
This Teacher Training is broken into three parts, focusing on the three innermost layers/Koshas, known as the Pranamaya Kosha (Energy Layer), the Manomaya Kosha (Mental Layer), and the Vijanamaya Kosha (Wisdom Layer.). Each module takes the student deeper towards more subtle practices while also exploring the energetics of specific asana categories. When one can weave the inner practices with outer action, this leads to the full embodiment of yoga in practice.
There will be time in each module for the student to apply new material through practice teaching, creating wise sequencing, and learning effective hands on adjustments, with valuable feedback from the instructor.
This 100-hour module introduces the student to the Pranic Body, sometimes referred to as the Energy Body. The anatomy of respiration is studied, which leads to a variety of Pranayama techniques and the application of Bandhas. Students also learn about the Nadis, the Chakras and how the energy of each Chakra affects different poses. This module focuses extensively on the sequencing, instructing and giving adjustments for Laterals, Backbends and Forward Fold asanas.
The main goal of this module for the student is to leave with the tools to instill a Personal Pranayama Practice, with wisdom on how to teach Pranayama to students.
Please Note: The Training begins at 6:00 pm on Sunday, 11 October with a Welcome Dinner and ends at 9:00 pm Thursday, 22 October, 2020. It is highly recommended that you plan your travel to check in to the apartment and get settled before the Welcome Dinner at 6:00 pm. Plan on checking out the morning of Friday, 23 October.
The Valsana Apartments are located in the Alpine resort village of Arosa, Switzerland. This area is revered for its pristine lakes, ski slopes, and glorious hiking trails.

If you want to drive, it is described as an easy road to Chur. The travel from Chur to Arosa may be windy, and will be extremely beautiful. The Valsana Apartements do have a car park for a simple rate of CHF 10 / day.

If you desire, you could arrange for a taxi or General Limousine Service to transport you. Contact Jeanne for more details on that option.
REQUIREMENTS FOR PROGRAM COMPLETION:
1) 100% Attendance through the whole module. If one misses any part of the practices, Jeanne Heileman, at her discretion, will offer makeup privates. If the missed session is a lecture, it is possible to listen to a recording of the session, if available, and write a paper describing what you learned. Additional costs will apply for any makeup private sessions.
2) Satisfactory completion of all written assignments, delivered on time, (during the module and homework that will follow the program.) Material must be presented legibly.
3) Satisfactory demonstration of your ability to teach a safe and cohesive yoga class, including asana, pranayama, meditation and philosophy.
PAYMENT POLICY: All tuition/payment for the training must be paid in total before the check-in date of the program in order for the student to participate. Without full payment the student will be unable to check in and attend the program, and no refund will be issued if prior cancellation has not been made (see cancellation policy below).
CANCELLATION POLICY: All cancellations up to 30 days before the training start date are eligible for a full refund on paid fees less the non-refundable deposit. Any cancellations between 8-29 days before the training are eligible for credit towards future Tantra Flow Yoga™ Trainings equal to the amount already paid, less the non-refundable deposit. Any cancellations within 7 days before the start of the program are eligible for receive 1/2 of the tuition credit towards another training with Tantra Flow Yoga™, less the deposit.
Jeanne Heileman was introduced to yoga in 1985 while studying to be an actress. From thereon, she kept practicing no matter where her acting career took her around the globe. In 1996 she put a pause on her life and took her first 200 hour yoga teacher training, In only a matter of months, she began teaching full time in Los Angeles. Los Angeles provided access to some of the greatest yoga teachers and Jeanne spent almost every free moment in workshops learning from the best. She is grateful to the the following teachers for their knowledge and inspiration: John Friend, Desiree Rumbaugh, Tias Little, Kofi Busia, Elise Browning Miller, Shiva Rea, Annie Carpenter, Lisa Walford and more.
In 2001 she began studying deeply with Rod Stryker and became a Certified Level II ParaYoga teacher. In 2004 YogaWorks purchased the studio where she taught. Jeanne took their 200 hour training and quickly joined the YogaWorks Teacher Training faculty and taught 200 and 300 hour trainings for them for over 10 years. In 2013 she created the Tantra Flow Yoga™ program to fill an empty spot of Pranayama (breathing techniques,) Dharana (concentration techniques and awareness of the mind,) and Dhyana (meditation techniques and awareness of one's Wisdom,) that other yoga trainings do not address so deeply. Since 2014 Tantra Flow Yoga™ has been offering 200 and 300 hour teacher trainings around the globe . When not traveling, Jeanne is based in Los Angeles where she teaches at YogaWorks.
