About this trip

Are you ready for the next Tanya Time Book Club adventure? We're Enroute to Ghana with Tanya and the wonderful book besties for another lit-trip! Come along with us as we dive into the heart of the nation's capital, and immerse ourselves in its vibrant culture, community, food, history and more! Discover iconic landmarks and rich heritage, uncover tales of resilience and history at Elmina Slave Castle and Assin Manso Slave River, scenic forest reserves and embrace the gracious hospitality of the Ghanaian people! We end with taking in stunning golden coastline views and relaxing beach vibes, promising an experience that extends with you as you leave from the Motherland. We're excited as there will be two special author dinner-stay tuned for the big reveal of author names. Additionally, in the spirit of giving back during our visit to Tanya's home country, we'll dedicate an afternoon to visiting a local school where we will engage in reading sessions with the children and donate books.

Reviews

This was the trip of a lifetime!! The organizing team was communicative, organized, responsive, and incredibly patient. The schedule was awesome and had a great balance of social, cultural, educational and professional programming. I would recommend this trip to each and every Wharton student. I had never been to South Africa beforehand and this trip made me want to go back very soon. Some potential suggestions to build upon the already amazing and incredible trek: consider a mixer/happy hour/ice breaker activity the first night since many students are meeting each other for the first time, consider a buffer of an additional night without a dedicated dinner or activity to give some time to rest up following a busy day.

EnRoute was absolutely amazing and created the best trip for us in South Africa. They did a great job of shuttling around such a big group of us and we had a great time.

Both the everso lovely Tanya and impressive Enroute group were extremely organized, but also flexible enough to go with the flow. They planned a trip that I will never forget, one that far exceeded my expectations! I am forever grateful for their kindness, care, and thoughtfulness. I would absolutely visit Ghana again, and cannot wait for the next Tanya Time Book Club trip in conjunction with the incredible Enroute group! ~ Jina D.
