The sights were amazing and the weather was perfect. The bus driver was a very good drive, he maneuvered the bus with ease. However, hated the bus, it was not a touring bus. By the 2nd day I felt as though I had been in a car wreck. I was sore and miserable. The seats were small and hard. I could not see anything in front of me other than the neck rest. The plugs for our phones on the bus went out, the bathroom smelled horrible by the 3-4 day, and it whistled off and on. My number one disappointment with the whole trip was the bus. It should have been and I expected a touring bus, not a regular metro bus. I also feel that the tour director should have had a more planned, written out description of our sights we were driving through and knowledge of the history and story of the area we were going through. The whole experience seemed as though it was a last minute trip and not well planned out. The country side was beautiful , amazing and I appreciated all of it.

This was my first experience with a group trip, and for the most part, I really enjoyed it. We were 23 people, which I thought was an ideal size - not too big. 4 of the 5 hotels were top notch. The other one was "eh." Most of the included meals were very good. Overall, I feel like we got a lot of bang for our buck. Our tour director and driver were great, and very knowledgeable about the area. If I could make one suggestion, it would be to have a day, or maybe half a day in the middle of the trip designated as an "R & R" day, to take a bit of a breather. One of our hotels had a spa, and it would've been nice to have time to take advantage of those facilities, since they weren't open in the evening. My favorite activities were the Boston tour, visiting the Trapp Family Lodge and taking the cog rail up to Mount Washington. I could've lived without the cottage tour. I would definitely consider this company again for future travel. Thanks for a very memorable vacation! Melanie

Hi Melanie, thank you for sharing your experience! We are glad to hear that you had such a positive first group trip and enjoyed most of the accommodations and meals. Your feedback about the ideal group size is valuable, and I'm sure the team will appreciate the suggestion for an "R & R" day. It sounds like a wonderful way to recharge and enjoy the spa facilities. I'm thrilled that the Boston tour and your visit to the Trapp Family Lodge stood out for you, along with the picturesque ride on the cog rail to Mount Washington. Your thoughts on the cottage tour are noted, and we're always looking to improve our itineraries. We hope to welcome you back on another adventure soon! Thank you once again for your feedback.

I had a wonderful time on the tour! Tour Director Robin was very knowledgeable and bus driver Sean was remarkable! How he drives that big bus through those narrow streets is beyond me! Thank you, everything was wonderful except the rain the last couple of days, which of course was out of your control!

Pamela thanks so much for your kind words! We are thrilled to hear you had a wonderful time on the tour. Robin truly is a fantastic Tour Director, and we're glad you appreciated Sean's impressive driving skills. Navigating those narrow streets can be quite a challenge! It's unfortunate about the rain, bus we hope it didn't dampen your overall experience. We appreciate you understanding and hope to see you on another tour soon!

Now, here is my real, brief review: Deb and Sampson were great. We have taken several land/bus tours in the past, all in Europe. In each of them there was consideration of the slower pace accommodating an older group, a pace with periods of time to lay back, rest and reflect on what we have been doing. Also, having some private time to get ready for a large meal...not just get off the bus and sit down to eat...all sweaty, dusty and tired. Never experienced that before. and it substracted from the experience. This was a high compressed trip and it exhausted us. We required two days+ to get back on our feet back home. There were more than a few things we didn't have to see: Cookie cutter houses, Chatam light house, a bus ride through MIT and Harvard, etc. All took time and attention that could have been used to put air into the trip to unwind the guests. To sum up: the trip was simply too intense. Sun up to sun down, and repetitious. We hooked up with friends to take this trip and I admit I wouldn't have chosen it myself. It could have been done better. Where was historic Boston? We just looked at buildings and boats and fields of headstones. I would have liked a more personable connection with the places, but that's just me. Chuck Henrickson
