The objective of the Forest Economies Program of Fundación Pachamama is to support and promote bio-entrepreneurship in the Amazon region, with the essence being the sustainable and regenerative use of Amazonian biodiversity and the pursuit of economically viable solutions for community well-being.
Air, water, the cosmos, biodiversity, and soil compose the genealogy of a society. For Amazonian peoples, these factors represent the networks that sustain communities and provide them with life. Their conservation is key to the environmental and social stability of the world. From this perspective, biodiversity resources are common natural goods that are respected, with only what is necessary being extracted from them.

Accompanied by staff from Fundación Pachamama, this travel experience will allow you to meet wonderful people and projects in the Amazon, who lead initiatives based on the responsible use of biodiversity to find sustainable solutions for the region.
You will meet producer associations that develop their products for national and international markets, as well as private companies with high social and environmental responsibility.
This journey will also allow you to enjoy Amazonian gastronomy and learn about the various products from the farm.
Finally, this is an authentic experience of tourism in the Ecuadorian Amazon. We will explore forests, rivers, and stay in beautiful corners of the Amazon.

Day 1 is when the group gathers. On this first day, the group meets starting at 4 pm at San Jose de Puembo, a country hotel 15 minutes from Quito airport, for a welcome and orientation briefing, followed by a group dinner. Accommodations at San Jose de Puembo.
