After we are collected at the airport, we will follow Scotland's Golf Coast to Craigielaw, home of the 2022 Scottish Senior Championship, where we will spend 2 nights.

Stretching along 30 miles of stunning coastline, famously now known as "Scotland's Golf Coast," you'll discover a remarkable collection of 21 excellent golf courses, encompassing Hidden gems and even Open Championship layouts

St. Andrews to the north might be the "Home of Golf," but this region that hugs the southern shores of the Firth of Forth just 30 minutes east of Edinburgh remains steeped in the history and tradition of the game.

If you are new to links golf, there's a lot to learn.  We have arranged an afternoon practice round to get you ready for your Scottish Links Golf experience

After  Breakfast then travel 8 minutes to The Glen Links for 18 holes. Get ready to play one of Scotland’s very best hidden gems. The Glen Golf Course, which is also known as North Berwick’s East Links,  is sometimes overlooked by golfers as a result of the world-class golf courses that surround it.

The Glen is set on a clifftop high above the town.  You can expect a visually stunning golf experience with wonderful elevated views of North Berwick, Bass Rock, The historic Tantallon Castle, and the beach, which runs adjacent to some back 9 holes. On a clear day, you can see over the Firth of Forth to Fife to the new Dunbarnie Links.

Final Day in Scotland's Golf Coast.  Breakfast, 18 holes at Craigielaw, then you head to St. Andrews, the Home of Golf.

Inspired by the great links courses of Britain, particularly those on land that are less dominated by dunes, Craigielaw is equal to many of the finest examples of such courses, some of which are conveniently located nearby in the East Lothian area.

Designed by Donald Steel & Co. the course opened in 2001 and, in this short period, has been host to many national events, including the 2006 Scottish Amateur Strokeplay Championship. It was a qualifying course for the 2007 British Seniors Open at Muirfield.

With challenging greens, cavernous bunkers, and spectacular views over the Firth of Forth, Gullane Hill, and out towards Edinburgh and Fife, Craigielaw Golf Club is an experience not to be missed.

Today we take a 90-minute drive to St Andrews.  It is considered by many to be the "home of golf" because the sport was first played on the links at St Andrews in the early 15th century.

Check into a historic residence located in the heart of beautiful St. Andrews, just a 5-minute walk from the Old Course.  Our apartments are the only fully serviced luxury apartments in the town, meaning you can expect lots of freedom and privacy, but with the high-spec finishes and luxury touches of a hotel. 

Depending upon the group size, the apartments are offered over two unique buildings and have been designed to the highest standard, with many including fully kitted-out kitchens and separate living areas, semi-private patios or balconies, and more.

After breakfast, we take a 20-minute journey to Kingarrock Golf Course. Get ready to experience how golf began on the world's only hickory course.

You will play nine holes of golf with original hand-forged golf clubs and a simulation feather ball.  The Kingarrock experience will transport you back almost 100 years in time.  This was an era when golf was a game of skill, strategy, and technique rather than one driven by innovation and technology. 

Enjoy ginger beer and shortbread in the mansion before we head back to St Andrews.

After breakfast, we will be collected outside the apartments and transported to the Castle Course, which is located on a cliff overlooking St. Andrews.  

Also known as Course No. 7 of the famed St. Andrews Link Trust, the Castle course adds to the brilliance of possibly the world’s best collection of links golf courses. Opening in the summer of 2008, the Castle course was designed by David McLay Kidd, the designer of the heralded Bandon Dunes course in Oregon in the U.S.

The Castle course follows the coastline east of St. Andrews and is just two miles from the center of town. Kidd has worked wonders with the already brilliant landscape, making the Castle course a perfect fit to the Trust’s other six golf courses, with outstanding scenery and a challenging level of play.

Playing to more than 7,000 yards from the back tees, the Castle course has golfers around the globe excited to try out the newest golf course in one of golf’s premier vacation destinations. Following the coastline east of St Andrews, The Castle Course is two miles from the town center. Work on the ground began early in 2005.

Today we travel from Brora to Meldrum House, our home for 2 nights.  We stop at the Glen Garioch distillery en route for a Whisky tasting. 

Meldrum House is an incredible property. There is an amazing video on the website that shows you the property in an amazing light and will give you some perspective on what to expect.  Scottish hospitality doesn't get much better than Meldrum!!

This afternoon we play 18 holes at the beautiful Meldrum parkland course

After breakfast, we will take a 30-minute drive to Trump Aberdeen for 18 holes of golf for a world-class experience at Scotland's latest crown jewel.  This new course is thought by many to be the best course in Scotland. 

The Trump International Golf Links in Aberdeen was built on a stunning 3-mile stretch of the majestic Scottish coastline.  The green fees are expensive, but in a post-pandemic world, many golfers are clamoring to add new incredible golf experiences to their portfolios. If you are in the market for world-class golf and hospitality this would be a fantastic choice.

The course was designed by Dr Martin Hawtree, who was promoted from chief adviser to designer.  He comes from a family of golf designers, and his forefathers were best known for their work at the Open Championship course at Royal Birkdale,  Hawtree was given the job of producing a wonderful natural links golf course using the abundance of natural sand dunes and tremendous coastline Topography.  Hawtree produced breathtakingly wild-looking natural links which opened for play in July 2012.  Trump International was recently added to Golf Magazines Top 100 Golf Courses in The World.,

 Our final stay is at the Carnoustie Golf Hotel, which overlooks the Open Championship course.  Expect a comfortable and stylish stay for guests visiting the area, particularly those with an interest in golf. 

The hotel likely features modern conveniences, such as Wi-Fi, on-site dining options, and possibly a spa or fitness center. The coastal town of Carnoustie itself is known for its picturesque surroundings and its long-standing association with golf

Golf is recorded as having been played on the hallowed links at Carnoustie since 1560.  Robert Chambers, an Edinburgh author and publisher, laid out the first course in 1834. The Carnoustie Golf Club was formed five years later. The first 10 holes were created by Allan Robertson, Scotland’s first professional golfer.  Robertson made a living from club making, caddying, and playing for money.  Incredibly, he never lost! His apprentice at that time was none other than Tom Morris, aged just 14 years old.

The course evolved significantly when George Morris became the greenkeeper in 1855, before his younger brother, Tom Morris, created the first 18-hole course in 1867.  The course stayed the same until 1926 when the legendary gold architect James Braid was brought in to upgrade the course to the standard required to host the Open Championship. The game of golf has played an important part in the town’s life ever since.

Burnside Links is a historic golf course that forms part of the Carnoustie Golf Links complex, known for its association with major golf championships, including The Open Championship. The Burnside course is considered one of the three courses at Carnoustie and is renowned for its challenging layout and strategic design.

Golfers visiting Burnside Links can expect a unique golfing experience with a mix of natural features, bunkers, and undulating terrain. The course may offer a variety of tee options to accommodate players of different skill levels. Like the Championship Course, Burnside has its own character and challenges, providing a memorable round for golf enthusiasts.
