The flight from Zurich arrives in Palermo early in the afternoon.  After gathering our luggage, a comfortable coach bus and our Tour Manager will meet the group and take us on a brief panoramic tour of the city before arrival at our hotel for check-in.  After some time for unpacking and freshening up, we will enjoy a traditional Sicilian welcome dinner at the hotel. (D) 

After a leisurely breakfast we head to the Palatine Chapel for Holy Mass. Following Holy Mass, we’ll tour the Chapel and Royal Palace. After lunch (on your own), we’ll take a tour of Mount Pellegrino (Pilgrims’ Mountain) and the shrine of St Rosalie. Once our touring for the day is complete, we will return to the hotel to freshen up before you enjoy dinner, on your own, at one of the local restaurants. (B)

After Breakfast we start our day with Holy Mass at Cathedral – Santa Maria la Nuovo. Construction of this beautiful church was begun in 1174 at the order of William II.  After this tour, we head to the Capuchin Catacombs. Following free time for lunch, we will visit and tour the Church of San Giuseppe dei Padri (St Joseph of Fathers). After exploring some of the local sites around the church we’ll head back to the

hotel. Dinner on your own (B)

Today we leave the hotel after breakfast and head to the town of Cefalu as we make our way to the eastern coast of the island. In Cefalu we will celebrate Holy Mass in the beautiful Cathedral (a UNESCO World Heritage site) before continuing our drive to Catinia. Before checking into our hotel, we will spend the afternoon visiting sites like the Piazza Duomo, the Elephant Fountain and Piazza

Stesicoro. After some time to freshen up in our rooms, you will have the opportunity to explore the city around our hotel and select a location for dinner from the many wonderful restaurants. Lunch and Dinner is on your own. (B)

After breakfast at the hotel our coach bus will take us to the Chapel of St Agatha for Holy Mass and a tour. We then will board our bus and head the city of Taormina and enjoy the famous Mount Etna Volcano. We will have the opportunity to explore Taormina and enjoy lunch on your own before taking

the bus back to our hotel in Catinia. Dinner and lunch on your own (B)

After breakfast at the hotel, we drive to Syracuse for Holy Mass and touring. The day starts with Holy Mass at the Duomo of the Nativity of Mary. After Holy Mass and a tour, we will make a visit to the Church of St Phillip the Apostle before heading to the Neapolis archeological site. Lunch and Dinner on

your own (B)

After breakfast we leave the hotel and city of Catinia heading to the west coast of the island and the city of Agrigento. We start our visit with Holy Mass at the Cathedral followed by visits to Santa Maria dei Greci, San Lorenzo and a few other churches. After lunch, we head to the Valley of the Temples and tour some of the finest Greek ruins in the world. After checking into our hotel, we will head to a local

restaurant for our farewell dinner. (B/D)

After final packing and breakfast, we head to the airport in Palermo for the initial leg of our return home.  We fly Lufthansa airlines into Munich where, after a brief layover, board our direct flight into Chicago.
