This is an experience that offers you the chance to follow in the pedal strokes of Tour de France legends in the epic Pyrenean peaks that have graced the Tour for more than a century. This is without a doubt a momentous challenge that will test both your physical and mental limits. But we believe you will be duly rewarded with the accomplishment of reaching the summit of these giant climbs.

For us, we believe in the small details in the support and attention that we provide to our guests - from the moment you are collected at the airport, you will be looked after by us with meticulous care throughout the entire journey. From the daily cleaned & serviced bike, the fully equipped support vehicle, freshly laundered kit overnight to the chilled recovery shake handed to you at the end of your ride. Our team consists of an experienced mechanic and knowledgeable guides. The support vehicle is always there for any eventuality or a welcome haven if you need a break or extra refreshment. We also have local native support for any incidents that require assistance, be that medical or administrative.

It is no surprise that the Pyrenees has such an appeal for serious cyclists - with some of the most challenging climbs and beautiful landscapes to ride among in the world. With our guides, we have designed an itinerary that gives you the very best of the Pyrenees; not just the classic Tour De France summits but also some of the lesser known hidden gems that give you the complete Pyrenean experience.

Allow us to take care of everything - so you can focus on riding, savoring hearty local food and sharing this experience with your fellow riders.

The recipe is very simple - riding through idyllic mountainous landscapes with like minded friends, quality support & attention - and a generous sampling of the best local food & wine.

St. Lary Soulan to St. Savin 100 KM/ 2000 M/ HC
From our hotel base in Saint Lary we set off to tackle the lesser known climb of Lac de Cap - de Long which actually stands higher than it's more famous sister climb - Le Col de Tourmalet. This gem of a climb will be the perfect intro to this enchanting Pyrenean adventure.

After a hearty breakfast we waste no time and head for the double peak challenge of the Col du Tourmalet and the Col d' Aspin - the epic mountains of the Tour de France folklore. After conquering these two Pyrenean beasts - we roll down for some R&R at our next gorgeous hotel where your luggage will be waiting in your room.

Today is the queen stage - our objective is reaching the border, not before climbing more Tour de France favorite Pyrenean peaks - Col d'Aubisque, Col Marie Blanque & Col de Landerre. Today will leave you breathless in more ways than one - this could very well be your best day on a bike ever! We arrive in the Basque country at our beautiful boutique riverside hotel.

St Etiene de Baigorry - San Sebastian 110 KM/ 2000 M/ HC
We leave France on day 5 and cross into Spin to take on a selection of stunning Cat 2 and 3 climbs of "el pais vasco." Finishing the day along a dreamy route following the river all the way into the beautiful coastal town of San Sebastian. Maybe dip those weary legs in the crystal clear Atlantic Ocean?

For the remainder of this adventure, we will be based in the heart of beautiful San Sebastian and from our luxury hotel - a chance to sample some of the famous hilly routes that have produced some of the best peloton's best climbers. This stunning local favorite route takes on three of the most famous climbs in the region including Igedo, Basakabi & Puerto de Andazarrete

Great trip! The roads of Strade Bianche did not disappoint! Paul, Chippy and Phil were great support and kept us all on the right path. Great times with fun friends. Good food, wine and rides. Thanks for another terrific trip.

Wow--great cycling. Great organization, accommodations, and food. Warm swims in Lake Annecy and big climbs up Alpe d'Huez (particularly off the back side!) were epic memories. Thanks to Paul and Michale "Chippy" Chipchase for putting on this bonanza of summer goodness.

Girona Gravel was an amazing adventure. Everything from start to finish was world class. The routes were challenging and spectacular. The food was outrageously delicious and the hotels were first class. Nothing like starting a new day with a great breakfast, a clean bike and an extraordinary adventure waiting. Michael, Paul and James are top notch. Can not wait to book another trip with Girona Velo...!!!
