If you are a US citizen, you can go on a cruise to the Bahamas without a passport. However, you will need to show proof of citizenship. While a passport is highly recommended, you can cruise to the Bahamas with an original birth certificate issued by a U.S. government agency (not from a hospital) and a valid government-issued photo ID, in place of a passport. Passport cards and enhanced driver’s licenses are also acceptable forms of documentation.
Children ages 15 and under only require a birth certificate as noted above to cruise to the Bahamas. Children ages 16 and over must carry a government-issued picture ID such as a state ID or provincial driver’s license and an original birth certificate issued by a U.S. government agency to cruise to the Bahamas.
Passengers from Puerto Rico must have a valid U.S. passport or a valid government-issued photo ID along with an original issued birth certificate. Birth certificates issued prior to July 1, 2010 are not accepted by U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
U.S. Citizens born outside of the U.S.: Will require a valid U.S. passport for travel or an original naturalization certificate along with a valid government issued photo ID.
U.S. Permanent Residents: Will require a valid Permanent Resident card, also known as a Green Card, with a valid government-issued photo ID or a valid passport from their country of citizenship.
Please note some permanent residents (e.g. Haitian citizens) must carry a valid passport along with a valid Permanent Resident card. Please contact the Bahamian Consulate or U.S. immigration for more information.
Non-U.S. Citizens or Residents: A valid Passport, Multiple Entry Visa, or Resident Alien Card is required for re-entry to the United States. Please contact U.S. Customs or the Bahamian Consulate for any additional required documentation. Guests from other countries must possess a valid passport and should check with their travel agent or appropriate consulate to determine other necessary travel documentation.

The dress code on board is generally casual. Dinner and evening attire is casual chic, with proper attire required for select restaurants, including collared shirts, blouses, pants, dresses and skirts. Tank tops and swimsuits are not permitted in the dining areas. You are going to want to capture the moment, don’t forget your cameras and chargers.
Each guest is permitted two pieces of complimentary luggage, not to exceed 50 pounds per piece. For excess and overweight luggage, a $25 fee per bag will be automatically charged to your onboard account. All luggage must be stored in the passenger’s stateroom.
Please ensure all baggage and personal belongings are properly insured and labeled with the owner’s name, address, and ship’s name, stateroom number, and sailing date. Suitcases should be securely locked. We are not responsible for theft or loss.
We recommend that you personally carry all medications, jewelry, fragile items, valuables and important documents on and off the ship. Any luggage left at the pier will be forwarded at the guest’s expense.
Guests are not permitted to bring any alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages on board during embarkation. Beverages found in a guest’s possession will be confiscated. Alcohol and soda packages are available for purchase, as well as bottled water. Beverages purchased on Grand Bahama Island will be held safely for the duration of the cruise and will be returned during debarkation. If guests have concerns regarding dietary needs, they may contact customer service prior to booking. The legal drinking age on ship is 21 in US waters and 18 while at sea and on Grand Bahama Island – valid photo ID is required. We have the right to refuse sale and/or service to anyone.
Yes, you will be able to stay connected throughout the ship as well as in our comfortable internet cafe. Wi-Fi access is available for $25 per device for the full 2-night cruise.
Enjoy the convenience of using your cell phone to keep in touch with friends and family while sailing with us. To use your cell phone on board, you might need to first activate the roaming service by calling your cellular provider. The network will activate when the ship is at sea, out of reach from land, or your regular cellular provider. When the service becomes available, your cellular phone will display either MCP or 901 12 or indicate digital roaming. This service is charged via your home cellular provider at international roaming rates. For exact pricing, please check with your provider.
Transportation to and from the ship, valet parking at the port ($22 per day), and is the only parking option, shore excursions, bar beverages, soft drinks, specialty dining, casino, phone calls, photographs, and any items you may choose to purchase not specifically stated are not included in your cruising price. For Grand Bahama bookings taxes, fees and port expenses of $88.44 per person and gratuities of $14.95 per person per night for interior and ocean view staterooms and $19.95 for suites per person per night are also additional. We are Tropical Travels with Tori and are excited to help you with your travel needs. Please get familiar with our Terms & Conditions. The following terms and conditions apply to any trip booked with Tropical Travels with Tori (hereinafter referred to as “TTWT” “our” “us”). By booking a trip with TTWT you (hereinafter referred to as, “you” “your” or “traveler”) acknowledge that you (i) are 21 years of age or older, (ii) understand and accept these terms and conditions (the “Terms and Conditions”) and (iii) are entering into a contractual relationship with TTWT.
Price Policy
All trip prices are as posted on the TTWT website at the time of booking and do not include airfare. Trips are priced per person, based on shared occupancy. Single rooms may be available at an additional cost and the prices will be listed where applicable. Prior to booking, prices are subject to change without notice. If you are using our payment plan option, you must submit a non-refundable, non-transferable, per person deposit (equivalent to the first month’s installment payment or other amount determined by TTWT in its sole discretion) at the time of booking to reserve your space.
Payment Schedule
Traveler understands and agrees to satisfy their balance in full no less than 60 days prior to the date of arrival. Should Traveler fail to submit the final payment 60 days out, a 10% late fee will be assessed each day based on the original amount. If Traveler fails to submit payment in full by 45 days prior to the date of arrival, TTWT reserves the right to cancel booking and retain 100% of funds paid. TTWT will notify Traveler in writing of the date & frequency of the scheduled payments.
Credit Card Payment/Processing
TTWT uses a third-party credit card processing company to provide Traveler with a convenient way of submitting payment. Traveler agrees to update Company’s records in the event that Travelers credit/debit card/bank account is closed, expires, or is no longer active for whatever reason. Declined Payment
In the event that payment is attempted by TTWT and is subsequently declined, Company will provide Traveler with a courtesy email notifying Traveler of the declined payment method. If the past due payment is not paid within three (3) days of its due date, there will be a 10% late fee assessed for that interval’s payment. If payment has not been submitted within seven (7) days of the first payment attempt, TTWT will cancel the Travelers booking and & retain all paid funds. Refunds All payment to TTWT is non-refundable and non-transferrable. This is because TTWT has contractual agreements with our hotel, airlines, transportation, and other vendors that will not allow us to obtain any refunds.
Payment Disputes
Traveler agrees to not file a payment dispute or chargeback through their bank/financial institution and to instead utilize her travel insurance in the event that she can no longer attend the planned trip. Traveler agrees to not file a chargeback in violation of TTWT’s Refund Policy. In the event that a chargeback is requested and/or processed, Traveler agrees to repay TTWT for the full amount and be responsible for any fees incurred in recouping payment, including attorney’s fees.
Passport and Travel Documents
Traveler is responsible for securing a valid passport. Upon signing up to attend a planned trip, Traveler will send via e-mail a photocopy of their passport, displaying the expiration date. Ninety (90) days prior to the Date of Arrival, Traveler will send an updated copy of their passport. Some destination countries require a tourist visa to be secured before entering the country. Traveler understands that it is their responsibility to secure the visa and will do so at the time of purchasing Traveler’s airline ticket(s). If a visa is required for your planned trip, Traveler agrees to purchase their airline ticket and obtain a visa within thirty (30) days of booking their trip. It is the responsibility of the Traveler to ensure that there are adequate amounts of passport and visa pages within their passport booklet, in accordance with the requirements of the planned trip destination. TTWT will not be liable in the event that Traveler fails to ensure that Traveler’s travel documents are in order.
Travel Insurance
Each Traveler is required to purchase a travel insurance policy within fourteen (14) days of booking their planned trip. The insurance policy must include a minimum of $100,000 of coverage and should cover emergency transportation/evacuation and trip cancellation in the amount of the planned trip costs, at minimum. Traveler will provide TTWT with a digital copy of their travel insurance policy within fourteen (14) days of booking their planned trip. TTWT may include travel insurance with your planned trip. Purchase of Airline Tickets Traveler is responsible for purchasing their airline ticket to the origination city of the planned trip. TTWT is not responsible for any delays caused by the airline, missed flights due to Traveler error, or otherwise. Traveler agrees to purchase their airline ticket as soon as possible, no later than 120 days prior to the Date of Arrival. Traveler will provide TTWT with a digital copy of their airline reservation 120 days prior to the Date of Arrival. One (1) week prior to the Date of Arrival, Traveler will provide an updated digital copy of their travel itinerary to TTWT. In the event that Traveler arrives prior to the planned trip Date of Arrival, transportation from the airport will not be provided by TTWT. TTWT will provide Traveler with a window of time (based on local time) during which transportation will be provided.
Covid-19
An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, senior citizens and people with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable. By booking a trip with Tropical Travels with Tori, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19. Tropical Travels with Tori will not be held responsible or liable if you or your party get Covid-19. We recommend getting Travel Insurance that covers Covid-19.
Alcohol + Substance Abuse
Tropical Travels with Tori do not, under any circumstances, accept responsibility for any damages that result to yourself or anyone else due to the consumption of alcoholic beverages or any other substances. We cannot take any responsibility for the effect drinks or other substances may have on people. As such, we do not accept liability for any loss, damage, death, or inconvenience that abusing alcohol or other substances may cause you.
