Water? Check. Mud? Check. Fun challenges and teamwork? Check. School camp for adults? Check! An epic weekend in the dirt you will be talking about for the rest of the year? Hell yes, check!
Have you got memories of school camps where you felt left behind, felt like you weren't fast enough, not strong enough? Or felt like your body was too big? Well for this muddy weekend in summer we are going to change all that! We are going to get dirty, and muddy, and support each other, and we are going to do it with shrieks of laughter, where there's no focus on who wins, but all the focus on who is having a rip roaring time at the back (trust me, we will be all vying to be in that party!)
The Summit is a school camp of enormous proportions, and when the kids go home at the end of the week, we adults take over for the weekend, why is it just kids that have all the fun?
WHAT IS ESCAPING YOUR COMFORT ZONE BODY POSITIVE ADVENTURES?
This is a body positive, slow paced trip, hosted by Richelle at Escaping Your Comfort Zone.
Escaping Your Comfort Zone is Body Positive Adventures for women and non-binary crew. The outdoors don't care about your size, your speed or your fitness, and neither do we! 100% body positive, no focus on weightloss. Just having fun in the outdoors, cause we can! As always, we adventure at the pace of the slowest person, and no one is left behind.
THE ACTIVITIES
Lets be clear from the outset everything is optional on this weekend. Whilst we will encourage you to give things a go, there will be no pressure to do something that gives you the heebie jeebies! There will be no "Go Hard or Go Home" mentality. In saying that, we ask you to keep an open mind, watch on, and you can always change your mind and join in an activity. If you do choose to sit out an activity, it would be awesome for you to come along and support those participating, sometimes some friendly encouragement makes all the difference!
The Summit has a whole menu of activities, that would last us weeks if we chose to do them all! Instead we will do a sampler of activities together as a group, the exact ones will be confirmed around 2 weeks before the trip (dependent on the instructors available), but there will certainly be mud and challenges involved. Please note there will be no activities that require you to wear a safety harness.
OUR DIGS FOR THE WEEKEND
Accommodation this weekend is in modern comfortable cabins, in single beds with 2 people per room. We have 1 large cabin which sleeps 12 people in 6 rooms. And another 2 cabins that sleep 4 people each (this one has bunks but we will be using bottom bunks only, cause no one wants to climb down off a bunk for a wee in the middle of the night!) Unfortunately there is no option for single rooms on this trip, so bring earplugs, or let us know if you are a snorer who prefers to be teamed up with a snorer.
Refunds are available until 1 December 2023. After this point, refunds are only available if your spot is taken by someone else.
Escaping Your Comfort Zone (EYCZ) is a community of body positive adventurers. We welcome women and non-binary people. No weight loss focus, slow paced and non-judgemental. Purely for fun. This group is for making new friends, and finding like minded people to get outdoors with. We are a not for profit bushwalking club, as part of Bushwalking Victoria.
Please ensure you read our Terms and Conditions before joining any of our adventures.
