If you are looking for an exciting adventure in Mallorca, you should definitely consider the spectacular natural wonder of Torrent de Pareís!!!
A 3-kilometer dry canyon with vertical walls 200 meters high, formed by the erosive forces of water over millions of years, Torrent de Pareís cuts through the rugged Tramuntana mountain range. The sheer magnitude of the vertical walls and the ruggedness of the cliffs will leave you in awe.
You will embark on an exhilarating journey, meeting the guide at 8 am at Sa Calobra. The guide will drive you through the windy road, a 30-minute ride up to the village of Escorca. After a short briefing about the activity and its risks, you will start your adventure via a challenging hiking trail that accesses the canyon. Once at the bottom of Torrent of Lluc (one of the two streams that form the Torrent de Pareís gorge), the journey continues through the blocks, and from S’Entrefoc, where the two streams meet, starts descending. You will navigate through narrow passages, scramble over boulders, and wade through shallow pools of water, adding to the excitement of the hike.
The journey through the canyon is not for the faint of heart, but it rewards hikers with stunning views of the towering cliffs and the wild beauty of Mallorca's interior.
After approximately five hours inside the channel, characterized by towering limestone cliffs that rise dramatically on either side, the journey ends at the beach of Sa Calobra, a picturesque coastal village located on the northwest coast of Mallorca. This tranquil place, considered a must-visit destination for anyone exploring the island, offers a perfect spot to unwind. You can reward yourself with a refreshing swim in the crystal-clear waters of the Mediterranean Sea. After enjoying a swim, you can relax on the beach, sunbathe, or explore the nearby caves and cliffs. There are also facilities available, including showers, toilets, and a couple of beachside restaurants where you can grab a bite to eat or enjoy a refreshing drink with sea views, providing a sense of relief after the challenging hike.
