About this trip

Join Carolyn & CC of C2 Body for a 6 night / 7 day Retreat and Cultural Exploration of Morocco.

Morocco is one of the most culturally rich and interesting places in the world. Bordering the Atlantic and Mediterranean Sea, Morocco’s vast and diverse landscape features ancient cities, stretches of empty beaches, and stark deserts and mountains touched by Berber, Arabian and European influences.

Our Morocco trip is unique as you will not be staying in one location, but rather traveling to two different cities, Marrakech and Essaouira, which, in our opinion, represent the “must see” highlights of Morocco.

Our days will include daily Pilates and barre classes with CC & Carolyn, in addition to three of our most popular excursions: a women’s Argan oil cooperative tour, a Moroccan cooking class, and of course, a sunset camel ride. There will also be plenty of free time to explore the cultural walled cities of Essaouira and Marrakech. Make sure to scroll all the way down to the itinerary below for more trip details.

All prices listed are PER PERSON. Since we are within 120 days of trip departure, payment is due in full. However, if you'd like to inquire about payment plan options, please email info@solseedretreats.com prior to registering.

Flight Parameters

Arrival Day: Saturday, October 8th, 2022

Please plan to arrive by 5:30pm on Saturday into Marrakech (RAK) so as to be on time for our welcome dinner that evening. We will transport you from the airport to our hotel in the city (about a 15 min drive), and you'll have the afternoon to settle in and rest up before our group dinner.

Please note that you will need to depart from the USA on the evening of Friday, October 7th, 2022 as all flights heading over to Morocco are overnight flights.

Departure Day: Friday, October 14th, 2022

Please do not book flights that depart before 11:30am on October 14th as we will be traveling about 3 hours from Essaouira to Marrakech that morning.

Some flights back to the USA from Marrakech involve an overnight in a European city, however, most will get you back the same day. Feel free to do some flight research and run potential itineraries by me before you book.

If you are planning on spending extra time in Marrakech at the beginning of this retreat in order to acclimate and enjoy more of Marrakech, let us know and we can provide more info. If you plan to spend more time in Marrakech at the end of this retreat, you can take advantage of the departure-day airport transfer to get back to Marrakech. We recommend scheduling transportation from the airport to your hotel directly through your hotel.

MARRAKECH: DAYS 1 - 2
Arrival + Exploration

Our trip will begin in the culturally rich city of Marrakech. Nestled in the foothills of the Atlas Mountains, Marrakech was founded as a city in 1062 AD, and is world renowned for its souks  (markets) and medieval maze-like streets, stunning mosques and palaces, relaxing hammans (Moroccan baths), delicious food, and much more. A perfect place to assimilate and integrate into life in Morocco, we will spend our first day and a half here, before heading to the walled coastal city of Essaouira on Day 2 of our trip.

We had a wonderful time. The accommodations were perfect, the food was amazing! Deb was very attentive! Disappointed that the tour staff didn’t let our guides know the Hot Springs were closed. The guides were amazing and so caring. 10/10 rating!

The accommodations were excellent! I had such a beautiful time, and the food was always so good! The food and drinks were all delicious—totally worth it! I There were so many great options for excursions and activities, making it such a memorable trip. I loved how close everything was—whether it was stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking, or other activities. The convenience of having a boat available to take you to various places (at an additional cost, of course) was fantastic. It was also wonderful to have the option of booking a massage. If you're planning to stay in a solo cabin, keep in mind that it's definitely a trek to get to every day—up several flights of stairs! You can really feel it, especially with the elevation. To make things easier, I planned my day accordingly and tried not to go back to my room too often. I made sure to have an extra change of clothes and brought everything I needed for the day. Just a little preparation made the experience much more enjoyable! Highly recommend this experience!

This trip was AMAZING! As was the accommodations, the group we were with, Deb Carvalho from Sole Seed Retreats ( she was always around in the morning to answer any questions and to help guide you for the day.) The guides for the 2 day trips, Ricardo, Tiago, & Theresa were unbelievable as well, such a pleasure ,so knowledgeable and a lot of fun! Also have to mention the resort was so clean and safe, we felt very comfortable there and the food was delicious. The 2 farm to table restaurants were top notch as well as the 2 picnic lunches. Last but not least, Angela & Candace were absolutely FABULOUS, they certainly know how to run a top notch retreat, not only with the expertise they have for their planned activities but they are such down to earth people who sure do know how to make sure EVERYONE is fine and having a great time! I cannot say enough about this trip!
