For more than 25 years, Native Hawaiian cultural practitioner Lopaka Kapanui has been sharing Hawaii’s history, weaving together folklore, historical narratives, and firsthand accounts to bring Hawaii’s past to life. Born and raised on the island of Oahu, Lopaka grew up listening to traditional mo‘olelo (storytelling) from his kupuna (his elders).
