Poetry Inspired by Nature with Rosemerry Wahtola Trommer

The retreat was magical. Stunning place, lovely people, beautiful walks. Our poet facilitator Rosemerry Wahtola Trommer was amazing- so incredibly present for each and every one of us. Our trail guide Cindy was equally special, and the food was delicious. I would definitely like to do this trip again! 

A magical weekend! I highly recommend this wonderful retreat - and you do not need to be an artist to thoroughly enjoy the experience.


Wildflowers and Watercolors Retreat 2025

High Camp is a magical place.  The retreat was amazing!  I learned so much about wildflowers and watercolor painting.  The group was welcoming and inspiring.  The amount of knowledge and talent that Karen and Amy have is endless. I will be back!!

What a great workshop!  High Camp is a gorgeous setting.  The food was excellent.  The whole weekend was a pleasure.

Wildflowers and Watercolors Retreat 2024

One of the most spectacular Hiking and Nature adventures!  A trip back in time when your only baggage is your Day-pack.  Pristine land and views only Mother Nature can provide.  It was a true Great Escape into Nature.  Highly recommend.

Everything about this experience was top notch and I couldn't recommend it more highly! High Camp Hut, Cindi, and our retreat leaders Florence and Sara were all outstanding.

The setting of the property is truly beautiful, remote and awe-inspiring. It is the perfect space to retreat and reset. Deep in nature, stunning sunrise and sunset views, meadows filled with flowers, fantastic hikes, wildlife. I can't imagine a more perfect or peaceful setting. 

Sara, Florence, Cindi and the rest of the staff guided us through 3 magical days of deep growth, nature connection, self discovery and fun / challenging hikes. They were a continuous source of support, inspiration, strength, and mentorship. 

I was so inspired by all of the women who attended (whom I look forward to staying in touch with) and I can say that this experience changed my perspective and my life.

High Camp is 320 pristine acres in the the high San Juan Mountains of SW Colorado.  The property is surrounded by Forest Service land.  High Camp is held as a conservation easement.

High Camp Hut is a spacious, mountain lodge with 6 bedrooms.  You will sleep in a comfortable bed with flannel sheets and a blanket. We also provide a towel and washcloth.

Learn how awe can transform your perspective and why spending time in nature is vital for well-being.
