New England Fall Color Tour, 2024 - 4 Seats Just opened up!

We enjoyed our 11 day trip. Kim and Brent kept us busy with amazing sites and wonderful experiences. The other travelers were all kind and courteous, especially considering that there were 50 plus people on board. We loved that our on-bus tour guides showed just how much they love their cities.

We enjoyed this trip! We appreciate being taken care of so well and not having to drive! We felt very safe and as comfortable as you can be on a bus 😁! The sites and excursions included were exactly what we wanted to see! Kim has things well organized! Kudos to our bus driver, Brent! Navigating Boston and New York - WOW! Thank you!

We had a wonderful time. We saw a lot of beautiful sites. The fall colors were gorgeous. Food was wonderful and accommodations great. It was a great group to travel with. Thanks, Kim (Laverne’s Travel) for a wonderful trip!

We had a great time. The driver was fantastic! Our hostess was fantastic as well. She would keep us informed on what was coming next. The passengers interacted/communicated with each other very well. The accommodations each evening was comfortable. By the end of the trip, we felt like we had a lot of new friends. 

Wonderful tour, great people, awesome sites…Kim, tour mgr and Brent, bus driver did fine jobs. Amazing to see 54 people get along so well and be on time at every stop.  

The sites were spectacular, nature was gorgeous, perfect timing for fall colors.

A couple things that would have made the trip more enjoyable would be luggage handling at every stop, plus continental breakfast. Other bus companies do it, right now, post Covid with the same staffing issues, at a similar price point. The Stroudsburg accommodations should definitely be changed. Collecting the lanyards for another usage grossed me out…

Appreciated seeing Niagara Falls at night and during the day and from the tower.  Loved the Inn and Legion—so New England. New York—I really think you should try it during the week to avoid the regular parades that preclude one from seeing all of lower Manhattan.  Guide, Martha, was phenomenal. The 911 museum is a must see in the future—2 hours is plenty.  The Mayflower replica to the Vanderbilt Home was spectacular but I didn’t see too many people enjoying the plantation tour or a very similar tour to substitute tour for Salem.  Another day in Boston could have easily been filled.  Another excellent city guide, Manny with all of his friends in high places—awesome in Boston. Changing out a site in Salem and not updating the brochure for 2 years was a surprise, not appreciated by all. My favorite nature site was going down to the river bridge and the K highway—as breathtaking as the Falls and totally free.

I am considering another trip with Laverne Travel.  

This was our first bus tour - we had a good time.   We had a great group of folks to spend our 11 days with.  We especially enjoyed the trip to Niagara Falls, the beautiful Fall colors, the Boston and New York guided tours, the Mayflower and Plymouth Rock, and well ... pretty much everything!  Kim had everything organized and planned so well.  Brent, the bus driver, was great - he mastered the tight quarters of Boston and New York streets magnificently.

A few notes of consideration for future tours:
1)  Seat Rotation - While I understand, and appreciate the concept, I think the process could be tweeked a bit.  We had the unfortunate misfortune of sitting right ahead of a gal that had a terrible cold and coughed frequently.  The rotation worked great, but never allowed us to escape the wrath of her cough - we always stayed only one seat away from her illness.  Needless to say, I developed a horrible cough by the end of the trip.  Paired with my asthma, the cough nearly did me in by the time the tour ended.  Perhaps consideration of a different sort of rotation would be a better option for everyone.
2)  Quality Inn & Suites in Stroudsburg, PA - This was an older hotel and was beginning to show it's wear.  Our room was rather stale and stinky, topped with a strong air freshener (assumed to disguise the stale/stinky smell) that was terribly hard to breathe in.  I think this accommodation was very sub-par to that of the other places we stayed in.  Perhaps consider another location to stay in while in this area in the tour.
3) Coach Bus - The seats were somewhat small and very close together.  We anticipated at least the size of airplanes, but were disappointed at how tight and cramped the seating was.  For 11 days cramped in for hours at a time, it put a damper on the enjoyment.  (My husband is a tall large man and I'm a short chubby woman - there is only so much time a person can snuggle for 11 days before it gets a bit old.  LOL)

All in all, we had a great trip and would recommend LaVerne's Travel to all.

It was a good trip. Good scenery. Fun people to travel with.  I would have liked to get back to the hotels earlier so we walk around the areas more but there are only so many hours in a day.  

Canadian Rockies by Amtrak and Motorcoach - SOLD OUT

It was a fun experience full of excitement and beautiful landscapes! Kim was a wonderful host and created a welcoming atmosphere for all!  This trip did not disappoint! Would love to go again! 

This was a great trip. Laverne’s Travel does a great job. Beautiful scenery friendly people. We were well taken care of. Made new memories and new friends. Will definitely travel with them again. 

It was a great trip.  Banff is more beautiful than I had ever imagined.  The tour was well organized and went smoothly.  We stayed at very nice places in Waterton and Banff.   My only negative comment is that the train on the ride out to Whitefish was filthy and the bathrooms disgusting.  The train ride back was a pleasure, clean with a pleasant staff.  Not sure if anything can be done to control the  trains environment.

35th Fall Mystery Trip - new openings!! Call or message us asap!

We had a Great time.Met a lot of new friends and seen some pretty amazing places and things.Kim and laVerne treat you like family..
 

We had the most fantastic time I thought on the way down that it might not be because it was a very long trip, but it turned out to be terrific and we met so many friends and I just was thrilled to death with the whole thing. Thank you so much. 💕

We had a wonderful time on the fall mystery tour. The accommodations were very nice and we enjoyed the tours, especially the tour and story of Boys Town. I have to thank Kim and Laverne not only for an enjoyable trip, but especially for their last minute accommodation of my Vegan eating plan. Thank you

I enjoyed most of the trip. The people were great and we had a lot of laughs. Food was awesome.  We honestly didn't enjoy George the city guide but other than that it was great. Already signed up for next spring and fall.

Medora Musical and Pitchfork Fondue

We had a great time, meet many new friends. and the Motel was great.  The bathrooms were perfect for the elderly people.  Did not have to fall on the toilet.  It was at the handicap height with a bar across from it to grab for balance, and for stepping out ot the shower.  The musical and fondue dinner were super great. 

Ladies, I had a great first time. So many fun adventures. I will gladly do this again thank you!

10th Annual Spring Mystery Trip

Fun trip!  Everything so well organized as far as reservations, eating/staying accommodations.  Well paced stops along the way.  Kim is a great guide

Tulip Time, Pella Tulip Festival!

It was a great time, but not enough time at the Tulip Festival.  Tulip festival was so beautiful and enjoyed seeing all the tulips and the town. We had to leave right after the parade so we can go to the casino if you want. Not all of us don’t do casinos. We could have stayed longer at the festival. 
When we went to the Amanda colonies it made it sound how things are homemade, I couldn’t believe how much was commercialized. We had this “homemade”  lunch, and it was not much was homemade, wasn’t impressed with the meal.  We had someone in our group was gluten free and she couldn’t eat much of the meal.  Most of the time when we stopped for lunch it was next to McDonalds, and some people can’t eat there.  We had to rotate seat a couple times a day.  With a 3 day travel if you sit toward the back you stayed in the back of the bus for the whole trip and the front people gets the front for all 3 days. 

We enjoyed ourselves! Had wonderful accommodations and the shows were GREAT! Will definitely book another trip with Laverne's travel tours!

Ozark Mountain Christmas - Sold Out (QB done)

It was a great time. The travel arrangements were well planned. I would do it again.

The shows were all fantastic, very entertaining. It was a wonderful trip all around. I would do it again.

New England Fall Color Tour ... 2 SEATS AVAILABLE

Everything was great except that the seats could be much more comfortable. They are very difficult for people with long legs. I really enjoyed listening to Kim……loved her voice!

I had a wonderful time. A few of the properties we stayed at could use an update. I wish we could have gone to Ellis Island. Loved all the historical places. Would like to see more.

I had fantastic time! Met many new people who definitely have become friends and we might travel together again someday.  The Fall Colors didn’t “pop” as much as I would have like but we were in 16 states and Canada in 11 days.  And I got great photos!  Some hotels could use updating but all in all, accommodations were comfortable.  Brent, our bus driver, was fantastic dealing with bus transmission issues, adding fluid while on the freeway in Boston besides dealing with ALL the heavy luggage. Thanks to Kim all she did making sure that we didn’t stress about anything!  Fabulous trip just don’t overpack like I did because you will regret it later when you handle your own luggage!! 

It was a great trip. Wonderful bus driver that dealt with a transmission problem. He was also very helpful and considerate.

We really enjoyed our trip. It was exciting to see so many different places and things. We enjoyed the other travelers as well as Kim and our Driver Brent. We would definitely recommend this trip to any one. 

We had a wonderful time, great people and all the hotels were great. got to see alot of places. The bus driver Brent was great beyond great. Kim our host was wonderful to work with.

We had a good time and felt that the tour was well planned out and executed.  One comment, I felt the music selections of old style Christian and Country were geared to an older generation than the travelers on the trip.  Would suggest moving into at least 1980's or newer. We enjoyed The Proposal and Patriot Day but our generation is much more Cheers and Frazier than Lucy.

Well done from start to finish, from bus accommodations to dining and motels. Guide and bus driver went 110% to keep us moving and organized without rushing or nagging. A great overview of New England with all key points of interest included. A+ rating with high recommendations.

Door County/Mackinac Island Tour ... 4 seats just opened up!!

We had a great time. Fun folks to travel with.  Meals were good. The Island was a great experience that I will remember for a long time 

We really enjoy Lavern’s Travel. Very professional but relaxed at the same time. Kim does an excellent job! Bonus when Brent is the bus driver. Price is very fair compared to others.

Good trip, saw things we probably wouldn’t have on our own, good choice in restaurants . The hotel could have been better, not good mattresses , but we did here a renovation is coming. Kim and her mom are great travel guides cute personalities and very caring about their guests!!

34th Annual Fall Mystery Tour ... SOLD OUT!

the first travel day was a bit long. Having two bus loads felt a bit like  herding to me but then I  am not fond of crowds.  We certainly got our money's worth  and saw many interesting things.  Loved the architecture in the  city . Too soon to say if I would go again. Laverne and Kim are wonderful  hosts. We, also had an awesome  bus driver!

I enjoyed all the stops.  I was very happy to stop at the Sullivans museum in Waterloo.  I loved our tour of Dubuque and the lovely Eaglepoint park. She had many stories thst I enjoyed. The riverboat cruise was delightful !  I am not a gambler but I thoroughly enjoyed the riverwalk before eating st the casino.  The food was delicious. 
The Natl River Museum is fantastic! Our meal at the vault downtown was very tasty!
The arboretum was beautiful! The cable car ride was a hoot with quite a view! The Tiffany windows were spectacular andour guide to Amish farms was great. 
I would have preferred a bit nicer hotel but the trip was as a whole was a gem!
I forgot to add that our tour leaders were great.  Their jokes and friendly, fun personalitys made the trip a joy!

We had a wonderful time! The itinerary was of the most wanted to see sights! Very accommodating and aware of the traveler’s needs! Met some wonderful new friends! Signing up for future trips! 

Canadian Rockies ... SOLD OUT!

I would describe this trip as a place of beauty, every where we went was breathtaking. The Inns we stayed at where very nice and the location were fantastic. Kim did a fantastic job with all attractions we visited, and the lunch at the Fairmount was awesome. I would recommend this trip. It was the first time I’ve been to Canada, and I enjoyed everything even the train ride was good.

Kim, I'm sorry that you were disappointed on Mackinac Island.  Our time was spent longer on the carriage tour than at the actual hotel.  In the future, we can try to get to the hotel earlier, but it's hard because we rely on the carriage tour company.  I hope you made it back to Texas safely.

I was very disappointed that we didn't have more time at Mackinac Island because it was supposed to be a highlight of the entire  trip.   We didn't even have time to take pictures or go to other floors to view the exhibitions.
