The experience is the perfect mix of landscapes, farm scenes, charming villages, and local culture, all with hospitable hosts and exceptional food and wine.

Where are We Staying?

We'll stay at a working farm refered to as an agriturismo centrally located in the heart of Tuscany near San Quirico in the Val d'Orcia.

The farm land surrounding our accommodations is quite beautiful and affords many opportunities for photography without ever leaving the premises!

Each day we'll have excursions into the countryside and to the neighboring villages such as Montepulciano, Siena, Pienza, Cortona, and more.

Enjoy the Benefits a Small Group

The maximum group size for this trip is 7 participants.

Smaller groups are my preferred way to travel, teach, and photograph.

Many of our photographers over the years have asked for smaller groups and feedback about smaller group size has been overwhelmingly positive.

Smaller groups allow us to travel together in one vehicle making our logistics easier and more convenient, and provides the opportunity to get to know, learn from, and share with other participants.

And, a smaller group means more attention and support (if you need it) as you photograph.

My intention as a group leader is to allow you to do your own thing, but to be there for you if/when you need support. If you have questions about composition, camera settings, infrared with your "big" camera or your iPhone, or anything else, I'll be more available to you with a smaller group.

iPhone Photography Support

This Trip is for Traditional, Infrared, and iPhone Photographers.

I want you to know, on my trips participants use both traditional and iPhone cameras, and many today travel only with their iPhone.

While I enjoy supporting traditional photographers and infrared photography with converted "big" cameras, I also love the iPhone. I've been creating with the iPhone since my first iPhone 4 in 2009 and I've been amazed at the evolution of the iPhone in recent years! Today's iPhone is a tool worthy of our camera bag and for many, offers a way to travel light while still creating high quality photographs. If you're an iPhone photographer, I'll support you in getting the most from your iPhone camera, camera apps, and processing tools. That includes creating infrared with the iPhone, which I've been exploring since the iPhone 11 Pro Max.

Itinerary

Tuscany 2025!
Traditional, Infrared, and iPhone Photography

The itinerary for our trip is fluid and will depend on weather, community events, and seasonal crops.

Each day we will have the opportunity to photograph on the beautiful grounds of our Agritourismo, a remote working farm in the heart of Val d'Orcia.

Throughout the week we'll venture out for sunrises, country landscapes, and exploration of cities including Cortona, Monticchello, Pienza, and Sienna. We'll visit castles in the region and photograph extraordinary landscape scenes along Asciano Ridge and outside Pienza where The Gladiator, was filmed.

Learning occurs each day in the field and at informal gatherings during mealtime and during breaks at our agritourismo.
